Beg to differ.....

Way to much VDR for a good flats boat!

The Ole' Hewes has the best vdr for a flats boat...

The engine bay and underside of cap have been painted. The first seat has been removed from the mold and the second will be removed early next week. The exterior/interior of the boat should be painted by the end of next week. We're moving!

Hmmmmm, I haven't been over here in awhile. Been over on the "dark side" trying to edumencate the masses.
It's not working out so well for me. :-)

Looks like someone has been sneaking pictures------.

The way we are making molds for this boat, we could make a new boat.

She is coming along (not quite as fast as Mike has stated) :-), but close.

Should see the hull in primer this week, paint the next, then start on the liner.

Shop is crowded , need more room.
Herman, I'm coming up there!!!!!

With a hull mold you sure could make one hell of a small bay boat for sure!!!

Oly I still think making the molds is a great idea

I worked a couple of boatshows for Sailfish boats and the owner, Paul Hoppes told me he built a 16 foot vdh For a guide. They said the hull was very loose at speed and dangerous in the turns.

Mr Hoppes is a heck of a nice guy I introduced him to Denny, Carla, and Skip.

Makes sense.... Not every hull configuration is good for every application. A SeaCraft is not a BayCraft for a reason.

IMHO...the Scampi is a perfect ICW boat for cruising to TB to TB :D
