Sunshine didn't take long at all with mine. For piece of mind, if I were you, bite the bullet and get a new tank.

Still slowly moving forward. Seems like the to-do list is still growing. I am still trying to figure out what to do about my main fuel tank, but trying to keep moving forward. My 40 gallon tank is a belly tank and I made some fiberglass straps for the tank to sit on. Seemed like a good idea at the time, but let me know if anyone has any input on the straps.

Also been trying to get the bulkheads built for the fuel tank compartments.

I couldn't find a fuel tank switch that I wanted to go with and have decided on this setup.

Plowing along. No big leaps forward yet. Got a couple of new LED spreader lights on the T-top.

Got the tank supports in for the small front tank. I think they will work well. Someone please tell me now if they have experienced an epic failure with this approach! Still have to do some sanding and add a little more glass on the boards and over the supports. The tank will sit on the supports and then the screws will go through the tank bracket, through the fiberglass supports and into the board.

Picked the main tank from the welding shop. Still not sure what I'm going to do here?

We got the new fuel filters and valves installed in the new transom hatch. It will be nice to have these up and out of the bilge.

The front fish box floor is back in and waiting on fairing and painting.

Finally, my need to see some actual progress forced us to cut and rough fit the floor in. I really hated to take it out and go back to my sad reality.

Anyone else like me and feel apprehensive about posting pics on this site? I worry every time that I post pics someone is sitting at home saying "what a dumb ass!" After seeing all the cool stuff guys are doing to these boats I feel like such a poser with my repair attempts.

Since we Re moving the fuel tank forward and losing our storage space in the console I am thinking about adding some floor boxes. This is what I have come up with so far. Any other ideas? Rear box is for pumps, etc. I will add a bulkhead to close off the other side of the box.

Armstrong also makes 10" x 20" rectangular watertight hatches like their rounds ones that might work for your deck holds vs manufacturing them.:)

BTW: You will need to countersink the cutouts so they sit flush.
See my pic below.

Been steady at it, just seems like not much is getting done. Hopefully, I will be ready to put the floor down in the next week??? A few pics of the work so far.

Nothing like farming out a job someone says will take two weeks and finally picking up the finished product 2 months later. Floor is in, now time to get paint, rigging and wiring. Maybe by the end of 2014 and I will have it finished.
