Problems start when they need repair. Have replaced several air compressors over the years (I work for a boatyard on Cape Cod) and each time you're looking at about a grand or more. Up here in the land of Ethanol fuel, replacing VST filters etc is also expensive. Just my .02 cents USD. |

In an interesting twist of fate, my wife actually suggested that I just finance a brand new motor on my birthday last week. She said instead of trying to find a good used motor for as little as possible. I should look at new ones. She said that I deserve to treat myself. She knows how much being on the water means to me and said that since I have not had the best luck w used motors, why not get a brand new one w a warranty...
all I know is I want to be on the water asap. I refuse to miss another summer on the water decisions decisions decisions |

A gift for Topflight’s Wife
As I graduated from high school I saw a nice used 61 Vette. My dad agreed to make the downpayment and my monthly payments wold be like $3 more than for the Tempest I was driving. But the final approval rested with my mother. After she said yes I bought her a necklace with a couple dangling pearls on it. She never tookit off til it fell apart years later.
