and it will probably last longer then if you bought a big tarp! That is one big nice looking project you have there... I dont know how you do it all....

My stimson bow-shed plans arrived in the mail the same day as home despot sent another '24 months no interest' promotion... so a $700 shed for free for two years.

Billboard was $20, bought foam for hullsides and still came in 120$ under 700! Its kind of cozy, like a windtunnel when i open the foredeck hatch. Will have to figure out some shade when she goes upside down thats for sure...

Now I’m afraid, after the rain this time of year, Lovebugs! Seem like they smell the resin and think it’s dinner time. Good that you have the tent.

The original keel stringer was set in midway thru the main hull lamination so it was pretty thin underneath it (actually had been worn clean thru in some spots on the bottom).

The other stringers were set in after the hull was laminated then wrapped/tabbed in so they were a bit easier to deal with.

Coring hullsides next then onto bulkheads.

Im no artist, the transoms a bit wonky but you can get the idea...

I like your drawing, I have a similar sketch for my 27 after seeing Jimmy Buffett’s newest Last Mango except mine was not a walkaround. Did you see the 27’ in NJ with the Downeast pilot house? The owner did a really nice job.

Bulkhead and tank time. 200 main on centerline and 50 each in saddles. 70 gal of freshwater just behind main bulkhead...

You said that this was a back burner project which for me means years but you are hardly 6 months into it and it looks fantastic and is indeed inspirational. My 27 is almost on it's way to San Diego and I'll certainly be following your progress.

May I ask why you cored the hull sides and what material you used? I see that you overlapped the new section but you also went forward too. Do you think there are benefits to coring the sides on a factory 27?
