Re: Sea Craft 15' Scamp
WoW. here we go.
I'll take one if you're popping hulls out. :D Nice find. |
Re: Sea Craft 15' Scamp
i'd prob have a lawsuit on my hands i'm sure someone must have some kind of legal rights to the hull design
|
Re: Sea Craft 15' Scamp
Actually, the patent restrictions have all expired. This variable deadrise hull design is now being copied by at least a dozen boat manufacturers.
You can legally pop a mold off the hull. BTW, Carla, who posted earlier, is the daughter of the man who designed the famous SeaCraft hull, and a big fan of this hull (and her Dad). Carl Moesly is still around, and lives in Yankeetown, less than 10 miles from me. (Or at least he did last year). Perhaps he might bless this endeavor, if asked. |
Re: Sea Craft 15' Scamp
Jake , have you looked for a Hull Id # on the transom?
Top right. Cheers, GFS |

I am not sure, but Carla can chime in. I do not think this hull is a VDR. The "ole" man now lives in Key Largo. ;) |
Re: Sea Craft 15' Scamp
I have a reason for asking although I know what you`re saying......ah the onion.
