All glass gets weighed so im not mixing excess resin, excess fairing compound and my blades get smeared on something (console) so theres very little waste. Gloves are only used to handle and place glass really, rollers get worked barehanded. If the goo isnt on the boat then its money down the crapper. Been going to rodeos about half my life also.

I would love to come and just watch you work for a couple of days. I bet I could seriously improve my game. Unfortunately no scheduled trips to FL. Stuck here in New England for the duration.
Guess I'll just keep my hair short.
:D
Mind if I pick your brain from a distance?

What do you use primarily for resin? Polyester? Vinylester? Epoxy? All of the above?
I know you use awlfair for fairing, (so do I). Did you spray the blue gelcoat in the livewell, and the white in the bilge?
What do you use for putty?

I rarely work without a headsock haha.

99% of it is RAKA epoxy. Ill make some things out of regular poly or lay up some solid glass backing plates but thats about it. Esters and gelcoat is like a foreign language to me honestly, was trained in the one-off epoxy realm.

The livewell and bilge paint is some Sherwin Williams tile-clad. They mix it into matterhorn for me. I just added a blue pigment to the livewell mix.

Putty is just thickened epoxy. Different fillers for different purposes. Fairing mix is like a 1.5:1:0.5 of cabosil, microballoons, and glass bubbles. I mix by feel...

I cant leave well enough alone.. Should be pretty dry between these and a nice wide rubrail. 1" coosa ripped to 1-3/4 wide then put on end to rip the angle.

Spray rails look great! I’m curious, what are the holes where the chines meet at the bow? They’re too small and too high for a bow thruster, unless it’s rocket asistted.
