A fabulous time seeing old friends and making new ones....
and feasting on unlimited shrimp, claws, fish of all sorts ... PLUS all the side fixins! Here's some pictures of the great time ... |
We had a great time. It was good to see the familiar faces and also to meet some new folks. The food was plentiful and excellent, as always. Looking forward to the next one.

As always, great COMRADERY, great food, GOOD times !!
The feast that was put together by all that attended exceeded every gathering that we have had in the past...:) What more can be said, tons of fresh fried grouper & snapper, steamed stone crab claws, steamed shrimp and salads !!! All caught fresh and prepaired flawlessly !! :D:D To those that did not attend, you missed out ! Best guess there were about 35 people that came and enjoyed! To Tom Parris, what happened ? You did a hit and run  I had the Yeti mug decals for you...... You are already a clan memeber !;) Please do not be shy, walk up like you own the place and say HI !! We are only strangers till there is a hand shake... On to the spring gathering we GO !! PS: To our northern friends, temps were in the upper 80's in November !! |

Enough of the once upon a time. What a back water. Mind your red and green here folks. The Heron input the data. We followed that data. We had live pinfish. First stop. Red grouper. Short and out of season. We fed many fish and rocks. A donkey almost took me out of the boat. What an incredible property. A ramp, a bar, a ship store, a cool log cabin, a gas dock, and shoot me now. I`m home. What a wonderful part of the state. The Freezer. Friday night we found a place with no sign. Heard the food was good. |
"Mind your red and green here folks"
GFS you are so correct!! At the docks at MacRaes the red/green marker numbers were in the 80s, to get to the end of the Halls River where you can see open water your markers numbers are in the 20s and there is not a straight line from marker to marker over 1/4 mile! Reminds me of the "E ticket" rides! |
What a great time. It's great to see our little piece of SeaCraft paradise at a great new location. No accidents this time! Driving the Skyway with boat in tow at 10:30 Sat pm was a piece of cake! I was about to "sleep drive" a few times, though. Amazing food, and friends old and new! Don-The candy cane was great! I was talking with Jenan on the way home....I said to her how cool it is that a bunch of guys that began appreciating these boats or in Carla's case grew up with her Dad building these boats enjoy them still after 30-50 years! And how cool it is that we can connect with other SeaCraft addicted friends through Jason's/ Trayder's web site (CSC.com)created over 13 yrs ago! Life is good! Thank you to each one of you for putting the fun in our dis"fun"ctional family. Any and all similarities to gofastsandman are purely coincidental:D.

You have good Spidey sense.
Love that part of the woods. Spot on with sea cows eating all of our seagrass...the untold secret. |

working hard.
Quick pic before release. |
NoBones,
I was only there for about 4 hours on Saturday (10-2), and most of the guys were out on their boats during the time I was there. I enjoyed getting to talk to Kmoose, and Terry England. Let me know how much I owe you for the sticker, and I will send you a check in the mail. Cant wait to put it on a Yeti Tumbler. And hope to come to the next meet with a Seacraft boat in tow! |
Nice Jack, Dave! Looks like Sandy's bendo too ...or was that boy anchoring? LOL.
Nice job guys, Looks like another great gathering. Even California beer? Wow! |

What a blast. Amazing stone crabs. We get such crap over here. So sweet. All the fixins, cole slaw, and a looong table of food. And shine. Yikes. |
No I did not talk to the Terry holding the grouper, I did talk to guy in the salt life shirt, and Terry#2 And Kmoose as his engine was not functioning. Snookered was already in his boat about to leave so didn't get to introduce myself.
BTW did anyone talk to a man named Captain Ken (not from the forums) at a gas station close to Homosassa who knew you were going to the meeting? He said he talked to one of you. |

Dang Tom, I thought you were just hanging around waiting for the bar to open up!! You were like Mr. Shutterbug for quite a while. In any case it was nice to "meet" you!! Thanks for grabbing my lines and helping with my poor docking skills! No matter what, as NoBones said you should have stayed and enjoyed the small feast!
Most importantly good luck in your search for a SeaCraft!!! Keep us informed!! |
funny thing was my wife was like you are driving 6 hours round trip to meet/hang out with guys who you talk to on a forum who own boats but you dont have one. I said yep.
But seriously it was good to meet some of you and I enjoyed seeing the boats in person, so hopefully now I can pick the right one and bring my family to the next meet with my own Seacraft in tow! Appreciate all the advice people have sent via pm as well! |

Good to have met you Tom. We were like the only ones sitting on the dock waiting for the rest of the clan to return from the sea....
At least I got a good pic my "utilitarian" SeaCraft. |
Kmoose any word yet on the repair for your baby and how much it will cost?

Bet Mrs. Kmoose was happy, as she was saying the other day that every time the boat goes in to the repair shop its 1k dollars.

However in the picture it is one nice looking rig...and my next boat is going to be "utilitarian" this wash and wax sh** is getting old :D |

MacRae's, Another Fun Gathering
http://www.classicseacraft.com/commu...pictureid=2005 Here's a pic of Terry & Marcia on Doug's Seafari.
Thanks to all who planned, prepared, and brought the fish & fixings for another great SeaCraft gathering, feast, and fun weekend. There certainly is a camaraderie among the SeaCraft family. It was good to see you all again (my third and Anita's second gathering). A little tardy expressing comments & wanted to download this photo; there were already some posted similar to some of mine. We had a lot of mail and fallen leaves to contend with after a month away from SC. One day I'm on a flat, sunny, and hot Gulf of Mexico, the next evening its rainy and 40 degrees cooler! |

Love to get a full size jpg of that! Classic. Looks like you guys had a great time, yet again... |

One thing about these gatherings is that you can always count on good times with really friendly folks and great food! Each gathering is better than the last! Extra special thanks to Terry and Marsha for organizing this one, renting the big room, providing much of the fish and doing a lot of the work!
Here's an early morning shot of Doug's boat at the convenient anchorage across the river and a shot of Danny's freshly repowered Sceptre! That anchorage was really convenient with no bugs! One benefit of Moesly putting the front hatch on a sloping surface is that, besides making it easier to crawl through, it becomes a big air scoop when opened! There was enough breeze and it was cool enough that I had the hatch almost completely closed by morning! Denny |
