Honestly RP is way better than Dockside anyway. More "old florida" as the tourons say. Been to a number of weddings there, tiki hut is legit. I Always go home barefoot after a party there for some reason??

Might need to trim up a bit on a real low tide. Ive got a slip right up the road if needed...

If folks are flexible, we could enquire about slightly later dates at the Palm???

Hey,
The Eggles shocked the world.

Eric B 02-08-2018 09:01 AM

Afraid Amy, myself and the red boat are going to have to pass. Really a disappointment. Maybe we can catch you all next time around......

DonV 02-08-2018 10:20 AM

Ya know this is the real pisser being forced to make a date and location change at the last moment!! CSC crazies we looked forward to seeing not being able to make the change to be with us!! Let's hope the River Palm works out for us as a dependable location for the FL east coast gatherings!

NaturalHigh 02-08-2018 01:05 PM

i really wish Sportsmans would do day rates. It was a perfect venue and not so crowded. There is still hope we can come down Friday for the gathering but it’s a long haul for dragging the sled for a day and we would likely just grab a hotel for a couple of nites as it is not a sure enough fix to book a room there. We would likely have to take our pups and granddaughter which wouldn’t be bad but we have to find a place where that is cool. If nothing else we will leave Ron with enough fish to feed everyone from our Sebastian trip.

Leave the sled home.
Bring the Lombardi trophy.

Has anyone checked to see if your refund from No Dockside has posted yet ?

Canceled on Tuesday ? Normally 2 business days on CC refund.

Still waiting, will give them till Monday..

bumpdraft 02-09-2018 10:00 AM

Gettin pretty bad. Wife's on line now booking camping sites at State parks for next year and some are already full. Not saying motels are that way yet, but maybe planning should start for fall.

Same here. Nothing yet. Lady at the front desk tried to tell me it might take 10 to 14 days but later said it was up to the card company. Mine was issued on the 6th. I’ll give them till Monday.

Still working on convincing my domestic admin cuz we had OOTown plans and reservations earlier that week.

Capt Terry 02-10-2018 10:05 AM

Dockside Refund

Canceled late on Tuesday. Credit to bankcard showed up during the night on Friday. Didn't have to sic NoBones on em!

DonV 02-10-2018 10:27 AM

I'm seeing some voter "irregularities" on our poll! I'm thinking it's some of the deceased Chicagoan's adding to the tally or maybe some California illegals voting twice. We need sane voter ID rules on our forum! :)

Old'sCool 02-10-2018 04:07 PM

My credit was issued ;)

NoBones 02-19-2018 09:14 PM

Plan to check with RP in the AM to see how the bookings are going so far..
If you wait you maybe left out! I know of 3 couples that are coming but have not posted.
Will report back tomorrow...

NoBones 02-20-2018 12:49 PM

Spoke with Jessica, so far we have 11 bookings
with only 10 left...

Lets make them happy and fill them up ....;)

Was working in Jensen this past weekend. Took the liberty to sneak over to River Palms and snap a few photos of your docking situation. Enjoy. Sorry I am missing this one. There were three moorings set up just off the dock as well.

DonV 03-05-2018 08:35 AM

Thanks Eric, nice job mixing work in there with an important CSC re-con!!! I hear it's not real deep, did you notice the depth at the end of the docks?

Eric B 03-05-2018 09:26 AM

No problem Don. There is a deep water channel just to the South of the resort for the Four Fish Marina that leads out about 1/4 mile East to the inter coastal. Every where west of the ICW is a manatee no wake zone with depths from the 2-4 foot range including around River Palms. Everything East of the ICW is super shallow with locals only knowledge needed. I was bumping over there in a 18' skiff. Lots of shallow oyster bars in super murky water. SS prop hell. The dock is very exposed to wind chop but I never bumped in and around the dock for the photos. This past weekend it was blowing NNE 15-25 knots and pretty rough around that dock. An Easterly would be a issue as well. I would have pulled my boat each night if I stayed there this past weekend, or used a mooring. The good news to all this is the ramp is just past the Marina to the South and has plenty of parking. The Marina does have some transient docks as well and is very protected. If the group is looking for a watering hole one night, Mulligans is about a mile North at the base of the Jensen Beach Village. Local seafood. I went there Friday night and it could easily host the likes of the CSC group. Some of the locals might even try to keep up with some of you pirates! The Shrimp House is walking distance to the South but is kinda fancy Nancy .... you all might get kicked out or if No Bones went in first you might not get seated at all........

DonV 03-05-2018 10:27 AM

"you all might get kicked out or if No Bones went in first you might not get seated at all........"

No doubt, then you add in Sandy, me and other CSC crazies and we would not qualify for a "fancy Nancy" establishment!! :)

We went to the pub before graduation.
The barman laughed his ass off.
He said we all looked like investment bankers.

He had only seen us in our greasy salt and peppers.

gtrkev 04-11-2018 08:07 AM

I’m in. I’ve heard good things about River Palms in Jensen Beach.

No separate checks...

Subway is around the corner for separate checks.

12 oz Filet is 60 clams.
I`d get the Porterhouse for 4.
I`ll bring sauces n sides.

I haven`t talked to Herr Buchner in a dog`s age.
He`s a good man. Maybe we could barter with surf?

manitunc 04-12-2018 08:34 AM

I was there for an Egret get together a few years ago and docking was fine. Nice place, and a big snook took up residence under the dock lights.

Cworthy 05-25-2018 08:41 AM

New to the forum, but Im from the area.
Manatee Pocket is not far from RP and holds a few restaurants.
Cant wait to see a SC fleet at the sandbar!

DonV 05-25-2018 09:15 AM

Odds are there are not too many sandbars out where we'll be fishing. :)
