Re: My first
Just an update. I removed all the teak, although i do like the look, I am more geared towards the practical use and maintance. So in went king starboard 1/2 white with new hinges. I spoke with the guy who will be doing the rewiring, and he said they would start it after the new year. I told him what i wanted and he said there would be no problem with having the doghouse hinge forward. I did not get a price range from him but he did tell me that all we would need were some new hoses for hydolic lines and some wire, as I already have everything else. He estimated 3 days start to finish. So I would figure not much more than 2K. Also the windows were ordered and should be installed before xmas. I do have one question that i know you guys can help me with. The anchor locker bulkhead which you can see in some of the previos pictures is junk. I don't mean you can see how crappy it is, just that you can see the bulkhead that i am talking about. The plywood core has the consistancy of a sponge. From looking at it, i think i can remove this piece with out having to remove the hull cap. Has any one had any expirence with this? I will post some pictures when the windows are in and then again when all wiring is done. Thanks for any help with the anchor locker thing.

Re: My first
I used to have a great pic of how I got my old rotton anchor locker out but I cant find it right now. I will tell you there was a sludge hammer in the photo. I was able to piece it together and make a template for the new one. I made my new anchor out of 3/8 inch starboard and I was able to flex it and get it in there without removing the deck cap. It's possible with a little work. There is a pic at the bottom of this thread

Re: My first
craig, i think it would be just as easy and only take a few minutes for you to make your own template (possibly out of cardboard, or whatever you like)
