This boat is going to be real nice! Never been a fan of round washers for brackets..maybe you doubled them up? have had welders cut some 1/4 inch square washers in the past...Nice work and thanks for documenting here on CSC !

Thanks for comment. Hermco provided fender washers for the bolts. 1/16” thk on bracket side and 1/8” thk for transom side. From 1/4” thick min hatch cut out scraps from deck laminate I cut 2” diameter washers and used them plus thick fender washers on all bolts inside the transom except 2 that were tight clearance to battery shelves. Will take a pic next time at boat..

I assume you like the square just for more area?

Yea a lot stronger. You cant build a house over here in earthquake land without them. At least thats what I was told a long time ago...

Finally was able to get engine installed , 300 Suzuki duo-prop, and get in the water to see how the balance worked out. No numbers to report yet as in break- in period. Felt slightly stern heavy which is good as no gear, chairs, tackle or anchor gear forward. Think is will balance out pretty well when all loaded up. Still finish work to do in cabin, deck non- skid but looking forward to next season.
