2 things about cooking/fires:

It may be obvious that there are grills everywhere, but it is not mentioned anywhere. We need to bring bags of charcoal for cooking. Small cookers can be used as well. (Denny will be grilling on the boat)

Also, we can only use firewood we buy from the rangers and only be at the fire pit.

strange cosmos indeed Sam. Must be 50,000 BTU`s easy.

Dixon, Snook is stillllllll closed. If going at dusk, troll some small feathers waaaaaayyyyyy back for Blackfin in 150 to 250 from Singer to Juno. Rinse and repeat.

Happy hour for them.

Back to the green room for more make up.

This is great,

Re: CSC Peanut Island - Time to plan!

I have brakes lights - AND turn signals too - only took 2 hrs

Sandy I just like to catch them anyway, I'll eat grouper and snapper - I hope to have corraled some bait that day and just want to test them out.

All my lists are done, 2 stores to go to that's it. Brand new Columbia tent!! See you there.......

Re: CSC Peanut Island - Time to plan!

Y'all might want to pick up a large scale Top Spot chart that shows all the reefs, wrecks and good fishing spots. No. N213 covers Boca Raton inlet to Juno; N214 covers Juno Beach to St. Lucie Inlet (Stuart). Another handy smaller scale chart is Home Port Charts No. 37, which covers Ft. Lauderdale to Stuart and deeper water, out to about 1700' in this area! Sailfish Marina across from the island probably has them if you can't find them at your local West Marine store.

Re: CSC Peanut Island - Time to plan!

I would hope someone over there already owns one - all I want is the wreck off Singer Is. so a big AJ can kick little Racoon Boy's butt. My son I think will also be around, although much bigger and tougher - a good AJ you only want 1 and done. There is supposed to be alot of live bait around, never met an AJ that could turn down a nice live bait - just say'in

PigStickers boat will not be done and he will be around and is a bottom fisherman of high repute and we may get out Fri - but I haven't fought 4 tree's and used a hacksaw to get the outriggers up to do the same thing I can do here - I'm trolling and drifting weeds with livies offshore - this time Bush and Sandy I hope we don't have to put up with the weather we did last time - jeez, just few less tornado's in the area by noon would be nice :D

Can't wait

I did find it - its The Amarillis but sounds like its kinda beat up now, found another ferry that might not be too far. There is another one very close but is listed as "no take"

I just got a text from Brian-He has trailer and oil alarm issues on one of his 115's on the 23. He still plans on making the trip without the boat............... :( He has a Pathfinder he should bring!

Re: CSC Peanut Island - Time to plan!

I have part of my A team. Brian is welcome to join us.

For Bally I have 1 dz. ea.,
Snooky, 442, ESD, and 5 Oh!

The Esso Bonaire wreck up off Jupiter is .....................delete,delete,delete. The rock pile. The 90 buoy. Inside by the dive boats just to the north off Singer and up off the old Juno ball. Live bait is King now.

I don`t have a log book with tons of numbers, but I know who to call. Most Capt`s are on 19 or 68, but code for the cel.

The weekend drift boats are a great source of chum. Set up behind them with livies who have had a rudder adjustment...

Dixon,
Rewire the dang lights w/ led`s and call it a day. Every other launch turned into three years now. Bliss. Call me if you need bait storage in a pen.

Making people jealous,
GFS

Re: CSC Peanut Island - Time to plan!

Sandy i can keep hundreds, I have a pen and can run the well all night if need be

Yes the drift boats are excellent - out of Hillsboro years ago just hooked a couple bally and drifted a ways behind one - double sail hook, up so that does work

eggsuckindog 06-14-2011 06:10 PM

Re: CSC Peanut Island - Time to plan!

Sandy I'm not towing the boat full of fuel any good ideas on where to fill up on Blue Heron - what are the prices over there, might want to fill up in Ockeechobee

Snookerd 06-14-2011 06:21 PM

Re: CSC Peanut Island - Time to plan!

Dixon-The gas is 10 cents more in PBC. If the cost matters, go to the Race Trac Station heading out of Okeechobee which is the same price as our gas on the west coast. I will be filling up in Jupiter.

hey even on 30 gals thats $3 and can go to the bait fund
thats what I was think'in cty taxes vary

Re: CSC Peanut Island - Time to plan!

I have over 1/2 tank right now- way too much for towing plan ..............I have to try to siphon it out b/c I don't have time for 12 hours of boating to run the gas out. That 2 stroke Yam makes gas!

eggsuckindog 06-14-2011 07:24 PM

Re: CSC Peanut Island - Time to plan!

I have some in there but less than half - Danny we have 3.57 here thats a bit less than .10 @ 3.75

Sandy or one of the locals I would like to borrow a 5 gal can - I have 2 but 15 gals would be better. Marina gas is crazy so I figure a couple trips uptown - got a new funnel at WM for .96

I am bringing 2 so anybody else is welcome to use them and the funnel :D

gofastsandman 06-14-2011 09:13 PM

Re: CSC Peanut Island - Time to plan!

I`ll try to remember the can.
The Marathon station on Broadway @ 13th st. has rec 90. Not cheap, but I will not run E crap in my motah. I will run old smokers `til they legislate them out of existence. Racetrack just west of 95 on B.H. is cheap.

Go Bzzzzzzz! Original 6.

Nanook no,no,no,no, He took a Dog.
PhiZappa. No Dweezles.
Moon Unit,
Over and out.

Bait early or late!
Should be flat and finally into our normal pattern. Did I say normal? Look to the the north of the turning basin just south of the bridge. Run the beaches either North or South in tight, and look for dimples.

Cheers,
GFS

Do a list as you just sit around thinking - makes the next days gathering a snap - may fill up at Race Track in chobee if they are open

Re: CSC Peanut Island - Time to plan!

Sandy I have had no issues, I did change some older fuel line and drained the tank before the switch but no problems. This thing is used alot though

Danny I see no need to worry about the half tank, try not to put everything in the boat though

Kimberlee, Jack and I will be in a lt yellow 21 Maverick with a 225 Yam. See you there Friday afternoon. If anyone is going offshore Sat AM I'd love to tag along. I have some new rigged trolling lures and can pitch in for gas. I also have a case of beer that is begging to be recycled.

Re: CSC Peanut Island - Time to plan!

What a pain in the ass trailer parking is. Since I blew out my back this week sleeping in a tent is not going to happen. I have a room at Sailfish Marina and will keep the Maverick there. My family will set up a "day camp" in our reserved spot and see you guys all day but will just not sleep there.

The problem is Sailfish has no trailer parking available and Phil Foster park REQUIRES you to keep your car hooked to your trailer at all times. So you can't just take your car alone to McDonalds. If anyone has a place to drop my trailer fri-sunday let me know. PM me. My only alternative at this point is Lake Park Marina at $25 a day.

Free by 95 and Blue Heron. Gated and locked. Call Bill and let him know you are part of the Pirate Gathering. New RV shop. I will be there tomorrow am and post the Ph #.

Why is my list getting longer?

Tell Jack I have Kazoos.
