Okay so I do have the starboard side finished , well, to the point of spraying high build or fairing....so now I'm back to the port side to replicate the STB side...I know you don't see both side at the same time. But I like to be withing 1/8 of an inch of each other..the weather Havens been pretty nice this week.. so I. Trying to get this part done asap.. so I can start with the toe rail.and covering boards...

martin 09-08-2016 01:05 AM

So as you can see I measured the hull side on both side and transferred the measurements and angles to each side..a whole.lotta walking back and forth... But it is slowly getting there

martin 09-08-2016 01:13 AM

These are the mahogany.boards my cousin let me have...
I ran them through the time saver ...I love this sander, and it takes off 0.020 of material at a time...the boards finished out at 1.566... So there should be enough material to split in half for the coming boards and coming pads..also the console.pod.will mahogany...

1. Pic I measured and drilled the hole
2. Rabitt the hole out and then put a wet coat of epoxy on..
3. Then back buttered the rest of the epoxy with cabosil thicken epoxy
4. I taped the thu hull up and waxed the snot out of her.
5. Installed it about 2/3 in let set up
6. Then pull out very carefully...
7. Inside the deck liner I modified the floor drains to mount vertically measured in from side 12" and drilled a hole . I am amazed at the thickness of glass on that liner.. about 1/2" thick

martin 09-11-2016 09:47 PM

Oh yea in-between all this more fairing going on

martin 10-22-2016 10:12 PM

First drilled holes oversize then chamfered the holes ,then I mixed a epoxy and brushed it in the holes ,then last I mixed some thickened and squirted it in the hole from the back to the front with them handy syringes

Awesome! For me that is actually the fun stuff. This last build I bought new ratchet crimpers, drill and driver bits, and top of the line wire and connectors. I also spent a day measuring for hardware length and bought fasteners in bulk. Remember to lube all threaded screws and bolts if you are using a gun to keep from balling the threads. Ask me how I know......

Took the boat to a buddies house ,so that he can repair the motors going on the boat. Ill be running some old 150 2 strokers. mercury. 2.5 liter .. I have ran these motors to hell and back .. do have the funds for new 4 strokes. so opted to get these suckers going..there is is still alot of stuff to do on the boat... covering boards toe rails and coming pads .... not to mention tearing down the old shop to build a bigger one.. so with that said the boat will be done later in the year .. i hope.

martin 05-06-2018 10:46 PM

I'm still waiting on motors to be done.. 2weeks

martin 03-26-2020 08:00 PM
