Hehehe......nah, I'm leaving her back home (she's too sweet for that). I usually tow with my Pontiac Fiero. There's no better suspension than a Chevy Citation rear end and a Chevette front suspension to tow with! Here's a picture of my baby.:eek:

Ken-I understand your garage is kinda full right now........
Just have Lil' Kenny back up slowly and you should be able to pull the "No Bones" out!

McGillicuddy 03-30-2014 12:43 AM

If NoBones promises not to call my my 2-tone, 4x4 AMC Eagle w/custom mags a freakin' Gremlin, I might just invite myself tow the Wood's Sceptre cross the alley for them so he doesn't get the classic Fiero dirty-- all hail the American Eagle!!!

DonV 03-30-2014 08:59 AM

I'm thinking of bringing my American Pacer to show off how really ugly cars were "back in the day". I'm also thinking I might have to upgrade to a class five hitch to pull the Seacraft! :)

Do it we need more yellow. Shocking I know, but Pintos towed boats. Horses as well.
Horses stop faster.

Stuck in the 70's

Man would you guys move into this century? You are talking about hauling around 40 year old boats with 30 year old cars. Are you still try'in to get a signal on your 'A' Loran set? Gee wiz, be sure to line up the pedestals and the waves on the oscilloscope and don't forget the soap for your sounding lead! Also, don't forget the shear pins for your Mark 75, the spare distributor drive belt for your Super Sea Horse or the whale oil for the lower unit on your Bearcat. Who's bring the flint and steel to start the cook fire at Long Point?

By the time I drink enough to interpret these posts, I'm about 5 minutes from passing ouutttttttttttttttt. OUCH!

Trying to figure out where to mount the hitch.... And should I go with the yellow Boss 302 or 429 in grabber green?

doodlebug 04-01-2014 02:21 AM

Looks like the Doodlebugs are in

As long as my Opti's will run and camp sites are still available we have our time off approved. The Sceptre has not been in the water for over a year due to a ruptured disc
last year. Hope she still floats, hunting season was the only thing that kept her on the trailer in the 7 years before this. We are looking forward to seeing everyone again!!!

NoBones 04-01-2014 09:01 PM

Happy to see the double d's will be with us...:D;)

DonV 04-01-2014 09:11 PM

"double d's"?????

Really?? I'm thinking this is good. :)

Snookerd 04-01-2014 09:51 PM

Very good news!

gofastsandman 04-01-2014 10:21 PM

Where is Bri? Nice job.

Blue_Heron 04-17-2014 08:23 PM

Two weeks out. Julie and I will arrive late on Friday. She can't take the day off, but I'll be packed and ready to leave when she gets home. We decided to pack clothes this year. :o

We had tons of food last year for the Saturday evening gala. Do we want to attempt to plan a menu, or just do the free for all thing again?
Dave

DonV 04-17-2014 09:00 PM

I've already got with Danny on this and to help with keeping the food easy to eat for the Saturday evening feast I'm bringing enough paper plates, plastic ware, paper towels, napkins, plastic cups, bowls, etc. for everyone. Last year we had tons of food, however a little short on utensils.

gofastsandman 04-17-2014 09:25 PM

Shh, we are stalking napkins.

Terry England 04-17-2014 09:51 PM

Stuff to remember!

Sandy, don't forget the Estes rocket motors for the Lawn Jarts. "Fire for effect"

Ken - Another Decoder Ring marketing opportunity.

Dave - I know, it's like R. Lee Ermey being the drill Sergeant at "Brain Bootcamp" with GFS. "Private, Drop down and give me 100 push-up's with your brain, NOW"

I understand everything makes more sense with some of Don's Elixir.

It's fun try'in to keep up with Sandy. Once we got de-railed at the Grinderswitch siding. They had to bring in the big railway crane from Atlanta to get the train back on the tracks. It were som'thin to see!

Blue_Heron 04-18-2014 05:45 PM

I was thinking of bringing one of these to Long Point for Sandy:

http://www.stopabductions.com/main5.gif

Testimonial from a satisfied customer:

"Since trying Michael Menkin's Helmet, I have not been bothered by alien mind control. Now my thoughts are my own. I have achieved meaningful work and am contributing to society.

Hey, can't hurt, might help, right?

Local schedule here. Awesome.

NaturalHigh 04-20-2014 09:14 PM

LP!!!!!!

Natural High will be there with 4 in tow. Bringing the kids this year. Hopefully supplying the dolphin as we did last year :))))))) We will arrive Thursday and fish (hopefully) the 20 Slacker will come through with some fresh fish. Anyone else planning on fishing Friday and Saturday? Would be nice to know a fellow Seacraft will be out there also.

Anyone know if the tuna will be on other side of Gulf Stream at that time? We are used to running 40mi out to fish. Which is usually 120 mile round trip. Would love to go to the other side!!!!

I'll be pok'in around out there somewhere, bottom scratch'in with Kmoose. If it's "reasonable" I'll run out a ways on Friday in the ol' 19'. Ken wants me to draw the attention of the Bull Sharks so he can shoot the cobias underneath them! (Funny, I usually try to talk Marsha into doing that too) I might bring a couple of extra bathing suits, just in case I need a clean one!

Skiblet lives up by the Cape and he is going to LP for the weekend too. I think he has a good idea of whats happ'in over there.

kmoose 04-21-2014 11:11 AM

I'm getting there Thursday and should have my sled tied to the dock and be settled in the room by mid afternoon. My plan as well is to troll and dive for the majority of my time. Good thing is that I don't check out until the following Wednesday. :)

DonV 04-26-2014 07:57 AM

Let's hope this forecast improves!!

http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/32951

Terry England 04-26-2014 07:40 PM

Donny, Sandy & Gillie

Donny - Don't break the seal - hang on 'till LP Bro'
- The weathermen have been three days off on their forecasts all year anyway so there is probably only a 50% chance of 30% rain, Dude! We're on a roll!

Sandy - I'd need "Quota" to bring enough for this gang - I understand they eat like a Scout Troop!

Gillie - We'll have our fingers, toes and eyes crossed for ya' Bud. Don't let 'em drop anything on the OR floor while they hole saw your lid Man. Make sure they don't cross any wires - we don't want you gitt'en yur Eric Burton and Eric Clapton's mixed up and we ain't except'in no cavitation in the hard corners either. You tell that doctor you got a bunch of Cajuns, Crackers, Coon-asses, Tar heels and Cubans that will personally "kick his ass" if things ain't better'in new when he gets done.

Gee Willikers Danny, That whole rig is TOO "Crisp"!

Maybe you could throw the spare tire up on the roof and tie a wash tub, some hand tools and a cast iron skillet on the sides so it looks a little more like the "Clampett Mobile". If you hit a hog out there east of Yeehaw, just lash him on the front bumper. While you'er at it, fix the Septer up with light yellow can of spray paint around the water line for some faux tannin satins and a few blood red rust streaks from the fittings.

You'er gonna' hurt some feelings if you leave it like that!

Snookerd 04-28-2014 12:34 PM

Terry –
I'll leave the Gucci stamps up to Island trader, Capt Chuck, ect. I'm definitely not getting the nod when they look inside my boat. But for me, I'm very pleased with the work I've done to get it usable. That black NSA suburban is my current rental vehicle. One of those Sailfish boat owners ran into my Nissan Armada a couple weeks ago. Those want abe VDR fools were trying to put the brakes on my plans for being a part of the SeaCraft gathering! The body shop says there's a 50-50 chance my SUV will be ready on Friday.

It looks like we will get to long point around 3:30 on Friday. The only hurt feelings happening this weekend will be by our northern brethren who constantly end up on the short end of the stick when it comes to gatherings :eek:!

DonV 04-28-2014 12:40 PM

"The only hurt feelings happening this weekend will be by our northern brethren who constantly end up on the short end of the stick when it comes to gatherings"

Danny, Let me know if I'm wrong.....but they were invited, correct? They are more than welcome, with or without a boat!! I watched the Rays game the other night in Chicago at a smooth 35 degrees.....we'll be better than that I'm sure!! :)
