Finally got the weather to paint some stuff. Pictures.
We used Alexseal for all fairing, primers and topcoats.
White is Cloud White.
Blue is Atlantic Blue (Carolina Blue).

Funny how the console and leaning post look identical in person, but the difference in lighting...

Looks great. Nice job. I especially like your custom leaning post.

In looking at the deck, two things come to mind that we learned about hatches on this build.

First was to make your own hatch lids. Its very easy. Just get some melamine backed plywood or make your own. Its been described elsewhere in detail. They are light and strong and can be made to any size..

Second are the hatch gutters. Just use Coosa. It is strong and you can make them large enough and the flexibility in this method is incredible. Thanks to Bills 106 (at Lightning Yachts, Jarrett Bay Industrial park) for the tutorials on this method.

Hatches are just not that hard now. They used to be a bitch.

More Painting

Some more pictures-I wish you could better order pics. It takes about 10 clicks to move a picture from an iPhone to this site.

In the previous pictures, the decks and gunnel had topcoat and in these they have had non skid applied.

We followed Alexseals instructions and mixed an equal part of fine and coarse sand together. It came out to my liking. A few more hull picts too.

We installed the hatches finally. I like the way the came out. The forward most hatch is the only original one-it was balsa cored but now has divinylcell. I now wish we had replaced that on too. It was a bitch to fix and its so heavy compared to the others we made.

I must have a windlass for my bottom fishing and have plans to mount it onto this piece of teak that is sitting on the bow. Thinking Pro fish 700.

She's certainly going turn some heads Chris ! I like the idea of the toe kick in the transom. Looking forward to meeting you at Harkers in October and hope to see the boat in person. Hope the weather cooperates this time, we got blown out for an entire week last year.
