Don-that's a roger! All of our northern brethren are invited as they have been in the past. If oldbluesplayer can show up from the very far Northeast, then anybody should be able to get to the gathering! I think if it was 35° where I was at versus a minor chance of rain this weekend in Sebastian Florida I would be at the gathering!

NoBones 04-29-2014 05:10 PM

Ok kids....

It is upon us! :D:D

Friday night, everyone on their own..:)
Saturday night, pot luck at Pooh Bah command post !

I plan on bringing my usual 10-12 lbs. of jumbo's
to steam up. (I have the steamer for anyone else that may need it)
Capt. Chuck is bringing a bushel of fresh corn..
Patti is making the ole' family recipe for Macaroni salad..

With the weather being ify I will be picking up a canopy at
Sam's or Harbor Freight for extra cover.

Sooo bring it on!!

Snookerd 04-29-2014 05:31 PM

Alright Ken! .....The "spark plug" returns..... :D:D! The Wood clan will be bringing potato salad and fresh fish.

Terry England 04-29-2014 08:28 PM

Capt. Ken and Admn. Snookerd

The Engle-Rios-James-calotta-lands, will provide the old Ecuadorian/Panamanian favorite, Cheviche' - prepared Hoosier style (which my Cuban and Porto Rican friends rave about!) as an appetizer. Additionally, we will prepare Italian Bread Crumb dusted fried grouper and mangrove Snapper nuggets, showered with those 70 cent a piece limes (what's with that, did Sandy use them ALL up in his Mojitos?)

Git ready to get ready!

I think it's still snowing in Marblehead!

McGillicuddy 04-29-2014 09:44 PM

Sounds tasty, Lt. 'tackie. I had an ag dept dude inspecting my lime tree yesterday. Caught him walkin in the yard and made sure he was just inspecting the leaves for the nasty Asian Citrus Psyllids. Dont need these badges sneaking off with my summer fish dressing/tequila accoutrements. Last winter 2 big as 'coons trashed my entire guava crop in a week. They wore black masks not badges... I thought the guys in the black masks were the good guys...

Skiblet 04-30-2014 09:06 AM

Looks like I can't be there for most of the activities. I have to help my daughter move out of her dorm this Friday and Saturday. I may be able to make it Saturday late in the day. I will bring oysters if I can.

On another note the dolphin run is happening. Went out Monday out of Sebastian and caught dolphin from 150' to 450'. Plus a bonus blue marlin.

So if its fishable get out there.

DonV 04-30-2014 09:12 AM

"Plus a bonus blue marlin"

Bonus? That might be an understatement!! :)

kmoose 05-01-2014 07:46 AM

Making the Cedar Key run for clams this morning. I'll bring a steamer\frier as well.

Snookerd 05-01-2014 09:24 AM

We are 100% a go to leave tomorrow, regardless of the forecast. It may slid just north.

CaptLloyd 05-01-2014 10:43 AM

Ok, I've made it back to Florida! My son and I are planning to come down Friday afternoon and hopefully stay on anchor for the night. We need to leave in the morning, I have to be back in Fort Lauderdale late Saturday afternoon for big boat obligations.

I was going to run down the ICW from Satellite Beach, but I think it would be wise to launch at Long Point. Anybody have parking space at their site?

Lloyd

Looks like I'll be bringing the rain down with me this afternoon. Did you go through the Forest on 40 or down the Turnpike?

gofastsandman 05-02-2014 03:00 PM

Just getting on the road North.

Cheers,
Slacker

Snookerd 05-02-2014 08:24 PM

We just checked in at Capt Hiram's. We're going to get some food tonight. In the AM we will load up the cooler and head over to Long point. Have a beverage for me! I waited hours longer today for my tow vehicle to be finished. We loaded up with that insane weather and it followed us over here. Tomorrow we ride!:cool:

RUSTYNTABATHA 05-02-2014 09:15 PM

Terry England 05-03-2014 01:29 PM

Ball Scuppers

I'm thinking about raising the floor of my tent 2" and installing those ball scuppers. What size hole saw do I need Sandy?

gofastsandman 05-03-2014 02:39 PM

Skip had to raise his floor four inches and extend the
toe kick twelve feet to the ICW.

He used a three pound sledge.

Hope this helps and post pics plz.

Janet just said it best. You knew it before you went.

We sat there on our tabs and phones. magicseaweed.com nailed it again. This went down as the trailer boat gathering.

That means the most to me about these folks. We knew. I was one of the only ones to clear the cut with Cap`t Lloyd in the truckster before the colors came across.
She rode great.

Thanks Lloyd. Sloppy inlet, will track.

That would be the end of the pretty skies for the most part.

Sleeping on picnic tables.
Cheers all,
GFS

That would be like releasing the names of Seal Team Six and remember you can't "un-ring" a bell!

NoBones 05-05-2014 04:18 PM

Thanks Rotgut....:D

I knew that one would come back to bite me...;):)

Will try to upload what pics Patti has in her camera tonight at

DonV 05-05-2014 07:07 PM

"Thanks Rotgut....:D"

Sorry guys, we had a little family emergency that popped up and had to leave the sled here and run back to Ocala. We made it back this moring and was able to get out and troll up some real nice Mahi and a decent Hoo. Stopped in 130 feet on the way in and bagged this mutant Gag.

Clams are on me at the next gathering. Was sure nice to spend a little time with you guys when we could. At least I get to take advantage of the good weather for the next couple of days.

I did see a 23 cc at the mouth of the inlet on the way in. Not sure if it was any of the gang but it was a pretty ride.

CaptLloyd 05-05-2014 09:53 PM

It was great seeing everyone, reacquainting with CSC members I've met before, and meeting new ones.

Denny and Dave, it was cool being anchored next to two awesome boats;)

Ken (No Bones), you are the "Grand Poohpah" of host, Davis says "Thanks" for the hot dogs:)

Eric, thanks for the stern anchor assist and the great tuna trip story:eek:

Don, great meeting you, but I was afraid to partake in what was in that cooler:p

Carla and Skip, Thanks for giving Sandy somewhere to sleep:p I hope your dad likes the card:)

Terry, It's fuuny, talking to you in person, I understand everything you say:rolleyes:

Duane, thanks for the parking spot:D

Ken (Moose), have fun with the diving on this coast:D

Mitch, keep up the 2000 mile commutes to work on your dad's boat:)

Sandy, I'm not a race boat driver, but I love how I can plow thru it with the 23'. It was a pleasure taking you for a ride, sorry I didn't have any left handed rods:p

Danny, we'll catch you next time:o

We can't wait for next time

Lloyd
