Vents

Has anyone ever replaced the hull vents on a 23'? Before I order them (without knowing for sure if they are the right ones) I wanted to see if anyone knows the specs on the bow and stern vents (manufacturer and size). thanks,

Re: Vents

I purchased SeaFit vents from West Marine .... they are/were direct replacements to the old vent (5 louver ??) and fit right in the vent cavity in the boat

The second funniest thing here on CS (First being LT's Chainsaw Fuel Tank Removal) was the answer to this question:

Q: "What do the forard vents on a Seacraft do?"

A: "Force water into the boat"

Guess you had to be there

When I re did my 23’ I filled in all 4 vents and then painted the hull.

I support the one boat theory but using it 4 times more often.

I agree with 70's but would like to add that it is USCG regulation that any boat with an internal fuel tank be vented.

I still closed my two.
