Suzuki 250 4 stroke
Well the timing was finally right so I decided to take the plunge and do the most expensive up grade you can do to your boat... buy a new engine! :D
My brother works for a crane company so we mounted it at his shop. You may notice that these are the same two guys that are in the fishing pic's I posted a while back. I set them up for this little task by taking them fishing. :D The motor arrived and in less then 2 hours we had it bolted to the boat. It's going to the local dealer next Tuesday to complete the rigging. Here's some boat porn. motor in crate: http://www.casdvm.com/photos/suzuki%20250/DSCN5079.JPG http://www.casdvm.com/photos/suzuki%20250/DSCN5080.JPG http://www.casdvm.com/photos/suzuki%20250/DSCN5081.JPG http://www.casdvm.com/photos/suzuki%20250/DSCN5082.JPG the rigger: http://www.casdvm.com/photos/suzuki%20250/DSCN5084.JPG at home: http://www.casdvm.com/photos/suzuki%20250/DSCN5088.JPG http://www.casdvm.com/photos/suzuki%20250/DSCN5089.JPG |

Pretty soon you are going to run out of things to do on the boat and will be forced to just go fishing ALL THE TIME instead.
How’s that bracket holding up? From the pictures it still looks pretty good and solid. I filled in those holes with glass and solved that problem. Enjoy life is short. FellowShip _______________________________________________ My motto: Just for the Grins :D |

Thanks guys
Fellowship- the bracket is holding up fine. I retightened the bolts when I took the old engine off the other day. Hopefully the new zuke wont take a dive into the drink on her first test run! strick |

Re: Suzuki 250 4 stroke
I have that same motor and you are going to love it! They dyno out to 268 hp and they use all of them on the cheap. Propping is the key as is with any motor. Mine is swinging a 23p Mercury Revolution 4 and still bumping the rev limiter with a light load. Large diameter and blade width is key for the tall gears in these big Suzies. Good luck.
