Folks-

Please pay for an ad before you list your boat for sale. This forum does not run for free, it comes out of my pocket and the little funds that come from the for sale listings, Peter's t-shirt sales (both of which I sincerely appreciate) and the random but very welcome and kind donations.

It really chaps my ass when someone lists a boat for sale and does not bother to email, PM or pay me for the ad.

Am I nuts?......actually don't answer that

I know this isn't your day job, but your software can be set up for premium memberships to allow access to specific parts of the site.

I realize this may cost more, but the additional revenue would more than offset this. I would pay a modest fee to be a "premium member" to have access to selling items on the site and perhaps, to have access to some of the technical info you have accumulated.

Some people are just plain cheap and wouldn't want to pay anything, but are you providing a public service here or trying to help a core group of addicts? Remember, addicts with beg borrow or steal to get what the need...

That's the point, some addicts need to "PAY!!!" along with the beg, borrow, steal.

The "For Sale" section states that it runs on the "honor system" ...... what ever that means .... :D

As for a membership, the forum software is not set up to do that and the last revision of the software was costly and is working fine plus I am not into te "captains club" membership thing. good idea though.
