Fishing for the Moesly's
I Ran into Carl and Jeanne at the grocery store the other day and Jeanne told me how much she missed fresh grouper. Yesterday I had a chance to troll some of my inshore spots and caught 5 gag grouper in about an hour.
The picture is me and Carl on their dock taking delivery of 8 fillets! Even got a hug and kiss from Jeanne! It's a great day in Yankeetown! http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...y/IMG_0050.jpg |

Love that fresh grouper, tried to get some in Captiva yesturday but found nothing over 20". Everybody and their brother had the same idea . Gonna start prospecting offshore more; got a SeaCraft, might as well use it :).

A SHIPOKE it is.... good eye!

Re: Fishing for the Moesly's
Shipoke: fished in one with Dick Stammers. It's a sweet riding boat though not light.

Re: Fishing for the Moesly's
I am re-doing a Shipoke now.Great skiffs a tad of a pain to pole, but a cadilac ride. What power do you have on yours? I am replacing a mid 90's 130 Yamaha. My brother has a 18 Dolphin, which is the same hull with a diferent cap and he has a 115 4 stroke and that seems like plenty of power.
