outriggers
 
i have a 85 23 cc it has the gunnel plates for outriggers looks to be 1 1/8" hole does anyone know what brand they might be or what will fit i'm thinking about getting some in the future and would like any help you might have

sea choice is a brand of fiberglass outriggers that is sold on ebay. not real expensive when I bought them. They came with poles riggin kit elbows and plates. you could also use tigress rupp just goggle the names for the web site

If the bases are as old as your boat and are chrome on bronze they are most likely Lee's or Perko. If they are Lee's they will have their logo/name on them. Lee's no longer makes the bases or holders in the 1 1/8" size but still makes the poles. There are several other brands of elbows and poles available. Some will fit Lee's bases, some won't. If you can find the elbows on ebay or craigs you would be set. The elbows would be the key. Dave

I have a pair of the lee elbows and 15 foot poles for the 1 1/8 bases if your interested..

Honestly, I would not even bother buying outriggers. I had a set of 1.5 inch x 18 feet Taco's on my Mako 231 and they were a big pain in the arse. Yeah, they look cool...but not worth the hassle when tuna fishing....`
