boat name on transom
 

Im putting my boat name on the transom of my 20CC. Not sure if I should put boat name on one side and hailing port on the other. Or both on one side. Any of you guys have pics of yours? I need some inspiration.

Do you have a motherwell ut out that is why one side or the other?

I used do do alot of lettering snd most on a transome with outboards it was on the left and the POC was smaller under the name

I have both on starboard side. Swim ladder is on the port side.

Normally hailing ports are put on larger boats...however I do like the name on the sides for most CC.

Hailing ports are only required if the boat is documented. And according to the requirements it must be on the stern, and the name also needs to be on the both sides of the bow. My 2 cents is don't bother with it, just put the the name on her. If you decide to move the boat you'll have to change it, or if you sell it the next owner will need to do the same.

when i had my boat i had to put the name on both sides because i was documented for coastwise fishery,name and port on the back
