MacRae's of Homosassa Springs on November (5)-6-7-8th, 2015

Yes James, so far "Crickets". I was curious as to weather I need to pack a tent or just a Visa Card! Is it Horseshoe Beach, Evergaldes City or somewhere in between? We just need to know which way to steer and which weekend we need to show up.
Time is slippen away.
I'll contact the Magnuson Inn and Marina in St. Pete, by the Skyway if you want. We just had the St. Pete Open there with 350+. But "I don't have a dog in this hunt", so whatever Capt. Robalo says. I'll stand by.

I think we (me)have come to a conclusion that packing a Visa is the most fun now, if you want to include the other half.

So, St. Petersburg/Ft. Desoto/Skyway is our official destination? When? Nov 6-8?

Looks like rooms can be had for $97/night (no view) to $134/night (water front)*

The Magnuson in St. Pete is owned by the same group where most people stayed at the Anclote Gathering, in New Port Richey. The place is a little "dated", but there is plenty of boat trailer parking on their lot just south of the hotel and a good boat ramp 5 minutes away at Maximo Park via an underpass on the west side of I-275. The hotel has a good protected harbor and it looks right out on some of the best Trout and Redfish flats in Tampa Bay. It is about a 15 minute run to the Gulf via Pass-a-grille Channel or Bunces Pass. It has a couple of pools and a pretty nice Tiki Bar looking over the bay.

For those in the band width that want to camp, the Pinellas County - Ft. Desoto campground is 10 minutes away by car and 12 minutes by boat. For those with Seafaris, who want to stay aboard, lots of good protected anchorages nearby with showers and bathrooms at Ft. Desoto.

I'll be glad to look into it a little further if I ain't steppin on nobodys toes. I'm just think'in if we don't do something soon, we wouldn't be able to find any place - we'll be fishin' in an abondoned phoshate pit and stayin at Bob's Country Bunker in Mulberry!

I would be up for this...maybe we should try and get a count on how many would be interested?

I'm with Terry. Count us in....not so much for the old phosphate pit though! :)

Cedar Key Option

Kenny (Kmoose) is on vacation this week so I don't know if he has E-mail, but he suggested we consider Cedar Key or "the Hatch" (Steinhatchee) sometime. I'm good with either one, but I don't know enought about either to try to set something up there. We are liable to loose some Southwest members, but gain some northwest members (Fr. Frank, Tom Paris, Blue Heron, Rusty and Tabitha, etc.). It might be an adventure!
As previously mentioned, "I ain't got a dog in this hunt - I just need to know which way to steer!"

I can't make it Nov 6-8.

How about Novemeber 13-15??
