Molestation of a 23

It is time to finally get to work on my remodel. This is a 72 hull that has never been touched. Finally made up my mind to get rid of the twin I/O set up. It was never really comfortable as the engine compartment swung towards the console making no room for seating. As it starts I am raising the floor 3 inches and removing the scuppers that drain strait down and having them drain out the back. Adding a bracket to hang a 350 Verado ( that ought to push us along). Adding a bait well in the transom will be better than that baitwell in the floor that I couldn’t use because it was completely below the water line. Josh at Stoner Boatworks will be doing the work as I just don’t have the time to tackle something this big. Some pictures to prove that it is happening.

Looking good, good luck along the way.

Did you make the bracket? Do you have any details/pics on that process?
Thanks

Thats a Stoner Boatworks bracket. All fiberglass like the old Hermco ones.

That is right it is Josh’s bracket. A bit bigger tub than the hermco one. All fiberglass with composite reinforcement.

Interesting only one access port on the platform. Does that mean it has no stringers? Or are they just not full height?

I will see if I can get some pics next week. Josh has another in the mold
