New trailer just arrived
Hey germs (and ladies)-
I just picked up my new 6,000lb net capacity Magic Tilt aluminum roller trailer. It looks schweeeeeeeet. It has 48 yellow rollers, 2 keel rollers up front with guide bar, yellow bow stop, KODIAK disc brakes, stainless/galvy fasteners, galvy springs, PVC guide ons, submersible lights, spare tire & mount, etc..etc. I'll post picks as soon as I can. Also, if anyone is looking for a trailer in the New England area....I highly recommend Rick at Coastline Trailers in Falmouth. He repairs a ton of trailers and was very helpful in helping me select the best package for me. Plus he had the best price out of the three dealers that I called. See you on the water soon. Ed |
Re: New trailer just arrived
Ed,
Forget posting shots of the boat or any fish you catch, just post some glamour shots of the pretty trailer in various poses |
Re: New trailer just arrived
Mark-
You and everyone else will have to bear with me. Getting my boat ready for the water this season has been quite a undertaking so any little bit of progress, like the arrival of a long overdue trailer, is quite thrilling. Splash down will most likely occur later this week. After then, I will gladly post any trophy fish photos. Updated pics of my boats progress will soon be posted on that other site......dare I say....classicmako.com. How is your boat coming? I bet Mike at Wildfire probably has your boat close to completion by now. -Ed- |
Re: New trailer just arrived
Ed-
Congrats on the new trailer . It must be nice to no longer be called a "ZERO" with the galvy trailer? Hmmmmmmmm |

HA-HA..Jason!

Re: New trailer just arrived
Wow, I'd forgotten all about hearing people referred to as ZERO's. Hadn't heard that term since seeing a fisherman self-caught with a sabiki rig on The Other Tom's boat....
Glad the boat/trailer/etc is progressing/ mark |
Re: New trailer just arrived
Actually, I think the term ZERO was used in reference to some "guy" who while fishing on "the other tom's boat" thought he had a 50lb dolphin on his line when in reality it was just the bottom!
Touche! |
Re: New trailer just arrived
t'was fun til the bottom quit taking out line...

Re: New trailer just arrived
Even I have to admit that Earth fish was one hell of a "Drag Stealer". Darn good fight!!! Wish I could h=of gotten me on of those instead of that fish with the yellowish tail!

Re: New trailer just arrived
I think that earthfish would have taken some serious grilling and some secret sauce to catch up to that fish with the yellowish tail

Re: New trailer just arrived
As I recall......the earthfish was pretty good to eat...Oh, I forgot, those were the jumbo y-tails. I swear that you had a 34# grouper on that 8# bait rod just before it rocked you up....I,must say, reading about your rebuilding projects as units of beer consumption, I can see why we consumed the same trying to bait fish...sabikis and sam adams don't mix in 3' - 5'.
*breaking news, next year you can bring more people, and we will have a/c. pics to follow |
Re: New trailer just arrived
Earthy was taking line, and you could gain it back, but it seemed to correspond to the peaks and troughs of the moving green salty stuff.

Re: New trailer just arrived
Other Tom-
You should be out looking for a tender? A chopped SeaCraft 20 CC flats conversion would be pretty sweet on the bow of your new yellowtail death wagon. |
Re: New trailer just arrived
Earth fish??? That's a new one.
Maybe you guys should head up north and I can put you into schools of Boston Harbor "whitefish" that are curiously always around the outflow pipe of the Deer Island sewage treatment plant. PS- I spoke to fast about the new Magic Tilt trailer. Upon closer inspection this morning, I noticed that the axles, 2 of the 3 cross members and the uprights for guide-on's ARE NOT galvanized steel or aluminum as advertised but cheap electroplated steel (which was drilled and welded after the plating). I am working with the dealer/distributor to see if I get a new trailer or at least get the axles and cross members replaced with hot-dipped galavanized steel or aluminum. Can you believe this?? I paid top dollar for a premium trailer and they try to pass off this electroplated milled "galvanized" metal as corrosion resistant (until just after your 2 year warranty expires) as hot dipped galvanized metal. I'll keep you posted. Hopefully it will be resolved quickly and I will not have to get an attorney. |
