If this is a 19 does that it probably is dual console bowrider design. I have a '65 19 and it is that design. I am pretty sure it is the same hull as a 20 (about 19' 5"). If I had a motor to put on it I could use it tomorrow.

A 71 19 is the same as a 71 20 a 72 20 ... I think in 87 they changed the 20 from 19' 8" to 20' 4" (or something like that) - it's a 20 run don't walk....

I put "65 or 66" in the original message typed. couldn't remember and should have left it at that. Then I edited and guessed wrong. Checked title it is a'66. I don't know if Potter was building them then.

Mariner.. You have a 65 19 Bow Rider?.. I thought that the first year for it was 67 (which I have),but then a guy coame on with a 66.. now you have a 65.. What was the first year for it? and is it the first SeaCraft's made?

Some one call Potter and get Mosley's number.. we need answers..lol

Carl Mosley was the designer of the hull and the builder of the first Sea Crafts up to 68 , thats when Potter bought the company.

I own a 1965 seacraft 19 bowrider, model 3+3, serial #315, bought new by my father on 6/21/1965. Has original merc 150 hp, 1C outdrive with power tilt. engine serial #1828121, stern drive # 1834284. Light green hull, darker green topsides. I put a 165 manifold and freshwater cooling on it in 1978 when I had the head replaced. I purchased it from my father in June 1976, boat has thousands of hours on it. On my third gas tank (28 gallon), third set of seats, I built a stainless steel trailer for it in 1985. I have all receipts, brochures, literature, bill of sale with the name MOESLY written across the top (salesman). A Marine named David Shannon demonstrated the boat to us, we bought one and a friend bought a second one so he could be a dealer. Still have the five year warranty card on the boat. Boat cost $4,311.00 new. Included boat, 150 hp, fold down seat on port side, vinyl top, aft curtain, side curtains, lift rings. Trailer was extra (Long trailer). Have been all over the Chesapeake Bay, Potomac River, Rappahanock, James, York, down the ICW from Fredericksburg, Va. to Charleston, S.C., in the ocean out of Hampton Roads, etc. Best boat I have ever owned or skied behind. Will probably never sell it. My friend has serial #316 and another one just like it (except OMC outdrives with 120hp, 4 cyl, 153 cubic inch engines). I was there when it was shown to us that day in 1965, drove it, and still own it. Maybe this helps with the 1965 vs 1967 issue.

Just back from the Outer Banks and I read about the 1965. I bought that 19' 1966 (?) model which was a one owner boat a few years ago, not because it is a classic but because it should fit under the beach house. It is an O/B model but it is designed to accept an inboard (I/O?) Now I am motivated to: check the serial number since I only know it was first registered in 66 (it is in a storage yard) and measure the height of the boat, then measure the clearance at the beach. If it dosen't fit then I may be asking for offers on this site. I never would sell it if it was a family boat bought new, but the reality is I may never get around to doing anything with it.
