Re: Boston Boat Show
Guys, I'd say our get together was a success, I counted 9 members including myself - Trayder, JohnR, scott (our "special guest" all the way from NJ), Ed Mancini, Rich, Jon G, cSickNick and EBEACH. It was great meeting all of you in person and hope we can get together again. Hopefully some SC knowledge was gained/shared by all who attended. I didn't have the camera, Jason did, so I'm guessing he'll post some photos soon.
I don't know if any of you had a chance to meet him, but my father and I ran into Jerry Giagrando (sp?), a former SC dealer from Hull, and brought him over to the SC booth at the show. In his dealer days he sold over 1,000 SC's from 1968 to about 1985. He was the guy to convince Potter to build a straight inboard 23 (he ended up selling about 25 of them as a result). As it turns out, our boat was originally sold by him back in '82, talk about a small world. I told him about this site, so hopefully he joins. |
Re: Boston Boat Show
It was nice to meet you guys, that show is too big, to much to look at.

Re: Boston Boat Show
It was great to meet all of you at the show. I can not wait for warmer weather so we can see each others boats and compare notes.
Thank you so much for making this site what it has become. After meeting you in person it only proved my inclination that our members are not only knowlegedable and open minded but a great bunch of people. I havea few pictures but I need to crop them down in size before posting. |
Re: Boston Boat Show
Thanks to Scott and Jason for pulling the gathering together. I definitely enjoyed myself and look forward to the next get together.

Re: Boston Boat Show
Was great to meet all you guys.....Just wished we had more time ..... I knew it would be well worth the trip especially after meeting the guys at the AC show...like Jason said there is a great bunch of people here.....
I thought what the heck If Otto and Saltydog drove all the way from NY to the AC show and back in the same day ..... this trip to this show would be a Sunday drive As Ed said ... Thanks Scott M for getting this rolling....Tell your Dad it was gret talking with him…he has to get on this site !!!! And to Jason for all the time and effort he has so unselfishly put forth to get this forum up and running.....and Congrats on Classic SeaCraft's First year Anniversary !!!! |

Re: Boston Boat Show
Scott,
What are you, the Classic SeaCraft embassador to boat shows, or what? I was in Portland OR on Monday and had a few minutes after court so I stopped at a couple of marinas downtown. I couldn't believe I actually found a 70's SC 23' in a rack storage. All I could see was the transom. Small world, indeed! Otto |

Actually Otto ..... you’re my inspiration ....I figured if you could come all the way down to the AC show, Boston was a hop, skip and a jump for me. Plus going up there brought back lots of memories (lived on the North Shore for 7 years) Oh yeah ... and met lots of crazy SeaCraft people like you and I Had a great time !!!! Was half expecting to see yourself and Salty at the show !!!! [ February 26, 2003, 11:23 PM: Message edited by: Scott ] |
Re: Boston Boat Show
Hey,
It was a pleasure to meet you guys. Thanks again to Scott and Jason for their efforts and to Jim (Hyannis Marina) for letting us hang out at his booth. Looking forward to more time to chat at the next get together. My daughter had a great time climbing inside all the boats! Can someone give the names of the "smiles" above? I could try, but would probably be close to wrong. - Nick |
Re: Boston Boat Show
Well as I see it from the left: Scott McLeod (ScottScottM) , John Redmond(JohnR), Scott Patton (Scott), Jim Lynch (Ebeach) and I apologize... but I'm not sure who is on the extreme right??? Somebody help me ??
Hope I got everyone’s names spelled right !! |
