Avatar pic, what am I doing wrong?
I know how to post a pic in a thread but I can't get one in the Avatar. I've reduced a pic to 140 by 90 pixels and posted it to host for transfer. I've listed URL in the space provided nine ways to sunday but keep getting an "improper picture" message. What am I doing wrong?

Re: Avatar pic, what am I doing wrong?
I'm having the same issue. The address to my pic is:
http://www.theboatzone.com/gallery/album16/P1190093 Is the pic too big? |
Re: Avatar pic, what am I doing wrong?
I know zero about this computer stuff, but the pictures in the gallery don't have the ".jpg" behind the photo, so it won't take them. If you put it on there it takes it but can't find a picture with that on the end. At least that's what happened to mine...it took it but the picture isn't coming though.

CaptC hit the nail on the head.

Re: Avatar pic, what am I doing wrong?
When I downloaded the pics from my PC to The Boat Zone, it didn't add ".jpg" to the file name. Anyone know how to get the file extension to show up in the file name?

Scott M
With all that snow around that Seabird. Trayder and I agree that you need the "GREEN GUCCI TARP" to get you thru the season Are you confused? Remind me to give it to you at Dania |

Re: Avatar pic, what am I doing wrong?
Jason - It wasn't John because I spoke to him last night at the MSBA meeting and he hadn't looked at it yet. So whatever you did worked - thanks!!
Capt. Chuck - I've heard about this Green Gucci Tarp, you'll have to show me in April. I have my own blue Home Depot tarp that's doing the trick for now. The boat was uncovered because I was taking it to my mechanic for steering repairs. I figured I'd do it now before the mad spring rush in March/April, something you Florida guys don't have to deal with. |

Re: Avatar pic, what am I doing wrong?
all I am doing is taking the address for the properties windo when you right click on the photo, then I paste it in you picture line in you profile. No magic, I swear.
I think you need bigger pictures CaptC still to small. |
