Strick, I am planning on keeping it notched for now, but who knows in a year or two I might go the bracket route.

She's Sharp George. A White single bootstripe about 1/2in to 3/4in will Really set that thing off.

Thanks Warthog, I think that I am actually going to do a gold strip but I am still experimenting. I really have the seacraft sickness now, its time for our annual 2 week vacation in the keyes and I am making 2 trips just so I can bring my 20 down and work on it.

Gold wouldn't be bad, but in keeping with the theme of colors. I still like the White. That is unless you are going to letter the boat in Gold.

Here's a pix of my Black hull with White stripe.

Here's a pix of the Gold Leaf lettering. [It ain't cheap]

George,

It may not be you - photobucket had some problems recently that should be straightened out shortly from what I hear.

It's been fun looking at the transformation of your boat.

She's Really Sharp George. Before you upload your pix's to PhotoBucket, resize them to 640X480. Do that same size if you attach them to an email. That way it will not blow the screen out and you will be able to see the whole pix.

Re: the end is near

George I know a guy that is really interested in the colors you used on your boat. Can you give me the exact colors that you used?
I'm thinking the the Red is Awlgrip's "Vivid Red"?

gbf03 10-15-2004 01:01 PM

Re: the end is near

Warthog,
Actually the color is claret red. When I was picking the color it was a toss up between the two. If needed I can get you more pictures.
-George

warthog5 10-15-2004 10:32 PM

Re: the end is near

Hmmmmmm! claret red I don't see that one on the Awlgrip chart.
There's Vivid Red---Sunfast Red-----Toreador Red. That's it.

Yes you can send me the pix's direct if you want or post'em here for everyon's enjoyment.

What Color is the White?

Dont know what chart you've got or if I have a older/newer chip chart ... but on mine its in the top row all the way to the right next to red mahogany and above sun yellow

looks like a burgundy

Re: the end is near

Bobby ....I guess that was just luck ....I just looked at my chart and its got different colors on it !! YOurs looks like a 2000 version...mine is dated 1999, some colors deleted ...some added(yours....more blues)

Funny as I saw the chip and didnt think George's boat was that "dark" I too thought "vivid"
