Intro

Hello,
I am fairly new to the board, and have been a bit of a lurker. I have had a very few posts, and don't want to look like such a stranger. I have been absorbing all of the info here and really find it to be a great wealth of knowledge. I don't have much to say do to the fact that I don't currently own a Seacraft. I am, however, in the market for one. It just needs to be the perfect deal at the perfect time. You know how it goes (well, at least some of you do). My perfect boat is a 23 CC with and inboard, preferably that needs some work. I have been boating since I was born, and know that water and boats well. I currently have a 28' Bertram, but it restricts me as to where I can fish. That is fine since I primarily fish offshore. However, I am always looking. Just thought I would introduce myself. My primary boating grounds is Ocean City, MD.

Maybe the administrator can put a spellchecker on the site for those of us that seem to struggle "after five"...

Welcome to our club Junior Trade. Good luck on your search of your 23 CC. Your Bertram 28 is a great boat. My family had the first 73 with 233 mercruisers to come off the line. It is a awesome boat, dry, goes on a plane fast. great for fishing too.

Welcome Junior Trade.

I meant to send you a TF b-mail a while back after I saw the "Junior Trade" Wellcraft heading north on Rt. 2. I think the guy pulling it turned and went down Mayo Rd. Does that still belong to you or Classic?

Be patient. You'll find "the one".

If it was the 25' Wellcraft with Classic Trade written in Blue on the side, it was our old boat. We sold that a few years ago. I think it has changed hands again since then. It's amazing that it still has the same name on it. At this point, they probably don't even know the meaning of it. Thanks, it is good to hear that it is still getting use. That boat really was great. We had many a tuna on it's deck.

Now that I think about it....I'm pretty sure it did say Classic on the side instead of Junior. Be glad you didn't see it. Poor thing was filthy. I think the guy was using it to clean leaves out of his yard. They were blowing out like crazy as he drove up Rt. 2.

I'm sorry to hear that. That boat was meant to, and has accomplish great things. But I guess that is how all of these great restorations start out. Someone doesn't take care of a good boat, and then someone else gets it for a deal and restores it to its original splendor. I can only hope that the same happens here.
