eb40splitt

You do not own a CSY constructed hull. CSY Corp took the mold and the tooling for the 23'& the 27' models ONLY over to tampa for approx 1 year after Potter left

Your Hull Id will tell you by whom and when (year) your hull was manufactured. It is hard to get the exact month and day companies acquire each other as these business dealings take place over time

SEC = SeaCraft Inc (Potter 1969 thru 5/80)
CSY = Carribbean Sailing Yachts (1980-1982 23'& 27' SeaCrafts only)
SIC = SeaCraft Industries Corp (1980 thru 1987 other SeaCraft Models) (Potter on Board of Directors approx 1 year after sale)
TXY = Sarasota Marine Corp ('86-'88 CSY Parent Co)
SIC = Tracker SeaCraft of Fla (1987 thru 1990) all models
SXC = Stern Craft Corp (1994 Silver King Parent then Tracker Parent Co in 1995)
MIC = Silver King Boats (1994-2002 Mako Marine Parent Co)
MRK = Mako Marine (2002 Parent Co SeaCraft from Tracker)

Re: 18 seacraft for sale

Loading images onto this site via Photobucket is VERY easy (if I can do it, ANYBODY can). Posting photos may facilitate your sale and would take all of five minutes to do.

You might also consider Boattraderonline.com, there are potential buyers there that are not as peripherally aware of what these boats sell for and may jump at your boat faster. The crowd on here is a pretty discerning bunch and although we are probably viewed from outside our little cult as a bunch of nutcases who will spend anything for an old SeaCraft, we are in fact just the opposite.

I know those Loadmaster trailers are pricey, so if you break it down to what you want for each, I know of several on here that might be interested in the hull alone. Search through the past FOR SALE posts on here to get an idea of what project 18/20's are going for and put a price tag on it.

Let us know how you do

Is Grady Marine selling your boat? I will keep my eyes and ears open for a buyer. I live here in Mobile too. I also have a 18' Seacraft, 1979, very familiar with that boat.

Re: 18 seacraft for sale

Yes, Grady has it for sale also. I have a partner in it with me from there. We decided that we did not have the time to mess with it.

Re: 18 seacraft for sale

Hello Everyone,
I also have a 1985 18ft.and I always thought I had a CSY.
I have the factory price list from 1-22-1981,3-11-82,and
8-1-86.The header on the 1981 price list reads like this.
CSY-SeaCraft,Inc.
Division of CSY Yacht Corp.
It lists the SF18,MA20,SF23 and the Sceptre 20 and 23.It
don`t list the 27.The 1982 list all of them plus the 20SF
and the 27. If I`am reading this right they all were made
by SeaCraft Inc. until they sold to Tracker.

Re: 18 seacraft for sale

Coyote,
If at all possible, could you send me a copy of the 1982 price list?

Re: 18 seacraft for sale

Coyote

These business dealings do get confusing don't they http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung...smiley-016.gif According to Mr. Potter, SeaCraft Industries Inc (SIC) took over SeaCraft (SEC) and continued to manufacture all models in Miami. Carribbean Sailing Yachts (CSY), who was located in Tampa, took the molds and the tooling for the 23' and the 27' ONLY for one year.

I can't explain how they sold or marketed their boats on paper nor can I ever know what vested interest each had in the mix. Again the first 3 letters of your hull ID will determine the year and by whom manufactured your boat http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung...smiley-037.gif

The 1978 specifications are in the Reference/FAQ section, but there isn't any posting of the 1982 price list that you speak of.
