I DID IT!!!!

Well boys, its official, by the end of the week I will be a part of the seacraft fraternity. My very first seacraft will be a 1978 23 straight inboard. She is listed in this site. I plan on putting a custom dog house on her, and rewiring before next season. If time and money permits maybe some new fuel tanks. Also any teak will return to life this winter. As of today, I am currently accepting beer donations for the work this year and the many years to follow. Boat will be located in Chatham, just down the road from Steve Sylvers 23. If any one is down that way and wants to chat, give advice, or just drink shoot me a pm. Can't wait to see all you guys on the water. ITS ABOUT DAMN TIME. I can't belive it. Thanks guys for everything.

Re: I DID IT!!!!

Come on down. I don't think she will be in the water this year, as there are a few things I want to do to her. Plus the ever rising gas price after the hurricane. Up to $3.40 a gallon in some places up here. And thats not even at the marina. But I would like to see what you think of her, and talk Seacrafts with someone. Shoot me a pm a few days before hand and I will let you know when I will be around. See ya soon.

It would be great to talk inboards with any and all inboard Seacraft owners. Would love to a get a little round up down in chatham next summer. What a place to party too. the more the marrier. GO SOX!!

I like to anchor in front of the Chatham Bars Inn and go up for a cocktail after a day of striper fishing. I also like beer, alot!. I live in Orleans and go out of the meeting house pond. Oh, i also have a seacraft and am always looking for a fishing/drinking buddy

Re: I DID IT!!!!

The CBI is a little Gucchi for me. But then again i havent turned down many chances for a cold beer. The boat will be fully ready for next year. I am going to "try" to keep her out of the water for this season. "Try" being the key word. What channels do you guys monitor, and I'll be sure to tune in. Thanks see you guys soon hopefully.

oldbluesplayer 09-01-2005 06:45 PM

Chance....

suggestion - you really gotta get that boat wet, and try it out, this year, so you can really identify the neat things you want to do with it, and the items you really need to work on, before next season....

Re: I DID IT!!!!

Yeah we should walk in there covered in stiper blood, they would love that. Good point about getting her wet, I did take her out for a sea trial before hand but not for any period of time. We'll see how things go.

Chance,
I hope you at least ran her from Bass River to Chatham when you picked her up. That would give you a good feel for how well these boats ride.

You guys in the NE need to get with it Whats wrong with a little "GUCCI" touch on your boat? BTW: Notice the correct spelling.......

Here's some nice boat shoes with that caribbean flare made with White Guccissma Leather and Green/Red webbing you can snag for $385. They say the soles won't mark the deckhttp://www.clicksmilies.com/s0105/co...smiley-008.gif

Chance, Congrats!!! If you need any ideas, my dad and I just re-did a 23 inboard located in Falmouth harbor next to pier 37. Although, I am taking her out of the water this week to install the correct transmission and just picked up a 15x17 wheel!

Re: I DID IT!!!!

Yeah, I would like to talk to you. Do you have a T-top or a doghouse. I would really like to put a doghous on her. The t-top she has now crap and will need to be replaced. I will send a pm and will talk to you soon.

riprunner 09-02-2005 06:30 PM

Re: I DID IT!!!!

Our boat had a full tuna tower with controls & outriggers on it when we got it (I'll give you a good price if interested). We put a T-Top on it. I do like the idea of a dog house and you should get some real good ideas from folks in Chatham, it seems like everyone there goes the doghouse route. When looking for doghouses, make sure to get one that can easily be tilted forward for better access to the engine.
