Re: 1979 Sceptre
Very. Where is the aftermarket windshield from - it looks great. I might be in the market for one in a year or two. |
Re: 1979 Sceptre
I'm also curious about the windshield.
She looks like the Silverhawk cuddy. Brings the '70s Seacraft into the '00s. |

Re: 1979 Sceptre
For all who are interested in a 23' Scepter: You should take a good look at this boat. I re-did a 23' Tsunami and can tell you that it came out awesome, however, this boat is even nicer and with a diesel. The amount of $$$ that I invested in my project boat came to just a few thousand under that asking price - and I was very, very shrewd w/ getting things at the right price. Not to mention that I did, w/ a fiberglass pro/friend, all of the work - all of it - too much to list. The thought of how much grinding and glassing and prepping I did - blows me away ! And, the trailer that came w/ my boat was sh_t. I just figured I would add my experience. If I had known, then, what I know now....I would have waited for a boat like this and jumped on it - and just 'gone fishing'. But, I did not have the $ to blow up front, instead - it was a steady, slow 'bleed'. Note: I did enjoy the project and it is very rewarding to be on a boat that I essentially re-did from the hull up - I know just about every screw on her. And, I did things the way I wanted. However, it was a lot of time and effort and if you want to have a Potter hull without all the work - then you have to pay for it. |
Re: 1979 Sceptre
I Think I remembered seeing this boat for sale about 2-3 years ago in the same area of FL. Its a nice boat and it was a steal a few years ago if it is the same boat. Would you consider 23K. PM if you would.
