1973 SEACRAFT TSUNAMI 23' CUDDY 225 MERC + TRAILER

1973 SEACRAFT TSUNAMI 23’ CUDDY - POTTER BUILT

WITH 1997 225 MERCURY OUTBOARD AND TANDEM AXLE TRAILER

BOAT, MOTOR AND TRAILER DETAILS

1973 Seacraft Tsunami Outboard 23’ (8’ beam) Cuddy Cabin (Serial # R3010) There are some minor nicks and scratches in the finish but nothing of major consequence. The only cracks that I found anywhere on the hull are on the port side rear near the receptacle for dock line to the cleat, mid ship above the gunnel (port side) and a crack on the instrument console. The cuddy cabin door fits well into place and includes snap allowing for being open while underway. Four cockpit swivel seats and a flip down foot rest at the helm. The teak wood dash and glove box is a bit weathered stand to be refinished. The boat includes a rear swim step with fold-out ladder. The windshield has been replaced with new tinted safety glass and the aluminum frame neatly painted black. All electrical, toggle switches, gauges, trim, bilge pump, anchor and nav lights are in working order and includes dual batteries on switch. The hydraulic steering system is in good working order. 100 gallon (we think) fuel tank. Hydraulic trim tabs. Anchor on bow pulpit and 150’ rode (no chain). The cuddy has a convenient Port-O-Potty (please note that there are no cushions for the cuddy cabin). This fishing machine includes tons of rod and tackle storage, in floor fish box (overboard drain), rear and floor mounted live wells, and raw water washdown system. The boat comes with a Garmin Fishfinder (unknown model) with through hull transducer and a Uniden VHF (NO antenna). Also included but not pictured are a pair of outriggers, a cannon ball down rigger and a bimini top. You may notice mounts located on the either side of the gunnels. The boat came with a radar tower that was removed by the current owner and they were used to secure that. This boat is exceptionally clean, well maintained and ready to fish!

The Mercury outboard is a 1997 Mercury 3.0L 225 Offshore mounted on a stainless engine bracket. Stainless steel propeller. Computerized ignition system. New power head with approximately 75 hours. Engine starts right away and runs great. Rear trim switch for added convenience. There was something mounted on the top of the engine cover at one time or another and the mounting holes are evident. Water does not enter the actual engine area here.

The trailer is an aluminum Slide-On tandem axle (Serial # 211423 – Maryland). The current owner installed new bunks, carpet, tires, wheels, lights, wiring, wheel bearings and bearing buddies. This trailer is ready to tow anywhere. The only part of the trailer that is suspect is the winch. It works fine but will need another as this one is a little rusty.

Please email with questions to bte52@verizon.net or feel free to call 410-422-0668 seven days per week (between 8AM and 5PM Eastern Time). This Seacraft is located in Hurlock, MD on Maryland’s Eastern Shore (not terribly far from Ocean City, MD). Several more images are available for serious interested parties only please. Asking $12,500.

Thank you for your question. The owner believes that the tank was replaced with an aluminum one sometime prior to him buying it. Unfortunately, we don't know when. He has had the boat for a couple of years. I wish that we could be more specific but this in the only information available. Good luck.

I drove by this boat twice a day, on the way to and from work before it was moved. It is a very clean and nice looking Seacraft. I did not climb in side for a look, but from the outside, looked like it would be a great candidate for someone in the market. It's worth checking out.

Best of luck on the sale... I really liked the 25 Carolina Classic in the driveway... someone has great taste in boats.
