Seat/sink/stove combo

I have the original passenger seat to a 73 seafari I would like to trade for a pedestool seat

Dibs. Got any pics? I might be interested for my Whitewater. Is the stove alcohol or propane? Where are you located? A general location in your description helps for things like this.
I have got a few different pedastals and seats in the shed for trade.

I found from another post you are in Mass.
Does it look like this?

Re: Seat/sink/stove combo

Or this one maybe? In the bottom picture it looks like the seat folds forward revealing the sink and a shelf for the stove.

Re: Seat/sink/stove combo

It is different than both. It flips open both ways. One side is small holding a small alcohol stove the other side which flips to stern is a table. its in good shape for 33 years old. I also have the original cushions for the cuddy, red, white, and blue tweed looking in good shape which I plan on redoing if anyone is interested. I'm on the lower cape.
Just went to the Bayside to see the new boats today, no seacrafts there. Little disappointed. The Abermarle 26 diesel inboard looked nice though. Dreamin' will make you mine.

Re: Seat/sink/stove combo

Any pictures of it? How about rough dimensions, L x W x H. How does it attach to the deck?
I am on the Coast of CT, near the mouth of the Connecticut River. I am on vacation this week and might be willing to take a road trip. Are you interested in trading for seats? Do you need bases to or just the seats? I think I have a few todd seats with cushions in different styles in the shed, even a ladder back that is all apart but the pieces are there. I am not sure of the make. Let me know.

wood is screwed to the floor, then the box is secured to the wood. i can't give dimension now, boat is at the shop. I'd like to get a full seat with the base. hopefully something similar to the original driver side

Tommy, out of curiousity, I was on Rayber lane in Orleans yesterday and saw a red (I think) Seafari being backed into one of the industrial buildings. Might that be you and your shop! Just curious, whole small world thing. Cape is famous for that! If it is you I wouldn't mind checking it out if your interested.

Re: Seat/sink/stove combo

the boat is blue and yes its on rayber at dannys house(Hey Dude's) I'm going to move it to Dougs right down the road. It's filled with stuff I'll probably empty today. but help your self at a look. If danny comes out tell him Tom said ok. Just a little reminder to everyone, CHECK YOUR TRAILER BEARINGS BEFORE YOU DRIVE! I was a little suprised to see my wheel at a 45 degree angle. I was told it had new hubs/bearings. can't always trust the 85 year old man

Re: Seat/sink/stove combo

I don't have any original seacraft stuff but I have a few seats and a short base. Let me know about the stove. I am interested, I'm sure we can come to an arrangement. Welcome to the site!

Re: Seat/sink/stove combo

Small world! I had the bearings checked on the trailer when I bought my 20 SF last week. One was bad, I also had a tire replaced and kept that one for a spare. I had to drive 150 miles and did not want to risk it. Good thing because the boat yard owner said I would not have made it far. I'm assuming you mean Doug Savonen. I might drive down and check it out. I'd like to compare the condition of mine with someone elses. Thanks.

Is this what you guys are talking about? It's on my '71 20 Seafari. It's a very cool little factory set-up.

After a nice dinner, you can visit the other nice factory option:

Be nice. she's got great potential. just alot of sanding.

Re: Seat/sink/stove combo

I never saw that one before. Cool little setup. I like the one the 25 seafari shows. Any dimensions yet? From the pictures it looks a little short for my application but I could be wrong. What is the seat height when up, and the sink height when down? I would try to keep that with your boat. The space under a large pedastal seat is pretty much wasted anyway. Let me know if you still want to get rid of it.

Re: Seat/sink/stove combo

I still would like to trade. Just more weight and I'll probably never use it. Instead of sitting in the basement forever I would like someone to have it who will use it. Sorry no dimensions yet. very busy with work. Sunup to sundown.

No problem. take you time. Keep me posted.

Re: Seat/sink/stove combo

Tommy I checked out your boat. It looks great. You will have to sand a bit, but It will be worth it. Some of thes old cape codders like to apply more and more paint!

Re: Seat/sink/stove combo

Tommy, if Bryan is not interested in the seat combo I wouldn't mind checking it out, I have two new Tote pedestal seats that I could trade if you were interested. Let me know. They have short bases though you would need taller bases.

Re: Seat/sink/stove combo

SwampYankee - Go for it. I would rather see an original seacraft part stay with a seacraft. If you don't take it keep me posted here.

Re: Seat/sink/stove combo

Thanks, We'll see what Tommy says.

Re: Seat/sink/stove combo

If no one gets it I'll trade my left pedestal seat for it if the unit came out of a 20 foot Seafari, if it's from a 25 I'm afraid it would be too big for my boat.

Re: Seat/sink/stove combo

You see if you can work it out with Tommy first. I was going to use it for something not boat related, and I'd rather you got it for a boat. Tommy's boat is a 20 Seafari I saw it in Orleans.

Re: Seat/sink/stove combo

whoever wants it the most I guess. Bryan asked first so he should get first dibs. but it comes down to who has the time to pick it up

nestorpr 03-05-2006 01:03 PM

Re: Seat/sink/stove combo

I would have to ship mine to you and you'd have to ship yours to me so let's see what Bryan says, after all, he does have first dibs.

Re: Seat/sink/stove combo

I still would like to get some dimensions but I believe it should go to whoever is going to keep it with a seacraft application. I would mount it on my whitewater if it fits but I in an effort to keep Seacrafts with original parts. I would say Boatapeje should get it No offense Swampy :D

toppintom 03-05-2006 08:55 PM

Re: Seat/sink/stove combo

I don't think a trade with boatapeje would be practical (shipping both ways). But if he wants it bad enough I'm sure we could arrange this. I don't know the value of the seat but, I would like get enough to replace it with a decent pedestool

CapeBoater1 03-06-2006 08:00 AM

Re: Seat/sink/stove combo

None taken, Bryan, I agree.

nestorpr 03-07-2006 03:37 PM

Re: Seat/sink/stove combo

Well, as you can see from the picture it's a pretty basic seat, plastic and with one bottom cushion. The pedestal is all aluminum and it rotates pretty well. It's probably one of the less expensive ones in the market so it's up to you if you want it. I have a friend here in Miami that would probably ship both ways for me for a very good price but you would have to at least package the unit for shipping over there. Let me know what you decide and don't feel like you have to do it, if you don't like the pedestal I have or feel that you don't want to go through the packing trouble, it's OK, you should only trade for what you really want.

By the way guys, thanks for letting me have a chance at this one!

Any progress yet? Just curious.

nestorpr 03-18-2006 07:37 PM

Re: Seat/sink/stove combo

I haven't heard anything but I think you should go get it since I think shipping this unit may be more trouble than he would want to go through. Thanks anyway!
