Leaning Post
FWIW still working on my transom - Since this has nothing to do with my transom I started this post.
I want to get a new leaning post for my boat and have read all the past posts about posts  (no pun intended). BUT I came across this one on eBay- Leaning Post Ebay Anyone seen one of these - looks pretty good and has a built in backrest that allows you to use all 4 rod holders. Great Price too. I have e-mailed the guy (Ray) that makes them and asked a few questions - he is willing to make any custom mods at an additional price. |
Re: Leaning Post
FishJack,
I am going to be taking off the leaning post on my 23. I was going to sell it on here, just have not gotten that far yet. If you are interested I will try to post some pics tomorrow. It has a fixed back and 6 rod holders. BA |

Looks Sweeeet. |
Re: Leaning Post
There was on kinda like that one on Flounder Pounder. But it really didnt have the backrest
It came off a Scout. Worth looking into FISHJACK |
Re: Leaning Post
If you go with the livewell in/under the leaning post, if your not cutting the floor the plumbing will be a problem.

Re: Leaning Post
That one is a Command Center, Pogy Pin Jr.. It has a 40- 50 gal livewell. That one is going in the 20' I have at Wildfire. I am about to order another one, so if anyone is interested let me know and I will see what kind of deal can be made. I forgot to take pictures of the current leaning post on the 23'. I will try to post them tomorrow.

Just ask for Andy. BA |
Re: Leaning Post
BA - when are you removing the old leaning post?? It looks really good.
AND - do you know what you are going to want $$$$ for it? Thanks, Jack |
Re: Leaning Post

Re: Leaning Post
hi ba17, i'm looking for a leaning post for my 78 20'seacraft either the junior or the pogy pen, depending on price, please let me know if you can work something out buying 2 if you haven't bought yours yet, thanks mike

Re: Leaning Post
Thanks Jack.
Oldfielder, I will let you know. Serge, I just ordered mine a day or so ago. If it is for a 20' go with the Jr. Birdsall has a leaning post with a livewell built in, but is is twice the price of the Jr.. I know several people with the Jr. and the Pogy pen and they are great units. I ordered mine with a light blue well, it will look like a pogy swimming pool. I will promise you will not find a better guy than Andy to buy a leaning post livewell from. On the first one I bought, the cushion had a mark that was caused during shipping. I called Andy and he simply told me to call him back with an address to ship a new cushion. I forgot about it until about two weeks later he called me and asked for the address. He is a stand up guy that makes a great product and he stands behind his products. BA |

Re: Leaning Post
Brian -
The leaning post looks GREAT :D I really appreciate it. I sat it in the boat and it fits fine. Love the extra rod holders. Now I just need to finish my new tank install and then finish the transom. |
Re: Leaning Post
Glad to hear it. Good luck with the project.
