Barnstable Gathering 2006

Well, the weather gods were with us all yesterday, but unfortunately the fish gods were not and neither was Lady Luck for me and my crew. The day started out great until we launched the boat. As my father was parking the truck and trailer, his brakes went. Luckily this happened AFTER the boat was off the trailer. Fortunately for us, EBEACH (Jim) was joining us on my dad's 23 Sceptre and he graciously offered up his vehicle to tow us home at the end of the day. A HUGE thank you to Jim!!

After waiting 1 1/2 hours for the tow truck, we were finally on our way. In the meantime, we ran into oldbluesplayer (Bill) and Trayder's neighbor John at the ramp. Great boats, guys. :)

The fishing was terrible. Oldbluesplayer was top rod for the day with a few bluefish. I believe everyone else got skunked.

I snapped a few shots of the boats as they made their way to Beach Point for the cookout.

It was great to meet oldbluesplayer, John, and CHANCE1234 (Elijah) for the first time. You guys have some nice boats.

A big thanks to Trayder for being chef as well as water taxi. The things you can do with a pair of Accurate pliers and a fillet knife when cooking dogs and burgers is incredible! :D

Well well I didn't know about Classic SeaCraft.com last year when I purchased my '73 20' Seafari. I was out fishing off the parking lot when I saw a red Seafari. The first one I've seen out there so far. Trolled bye it gave the guy a wave. Told me everyone was was around on the inside of the beach. Didn't know what he ment!! Ended up having to fuel up and went into barstable harbor. Noticing all the SeaCrafts. After fueling left the harbor ended up seeing that same red Seafari anchoring up, and pulled up to say Hi. After saying hi I pulled away admiring all the Crafts!! I remember saying to myself or was it to my dog, "thats a lot of SeaCrafts!!, HUH strange? HUH". Went back to my stomping grounds to go catch more fish. Well it's about a half a year later and I found you guys!!!!!!! Well I hope There is another gathering this year!!!!! Would love to stop buy and meet the crew!! Well till next time!!!!!! Tom
