Re: Finally in the booth....
My friend just dropped his 23 tsunami off at Bobby's to have the transom looked at before we redo the boat, he told me yours was looking good

Re: Finally in the booth....
I saw his boat there. Who is it?

Re: Finally in the booth....
Looks great Donnie. I dropped the red 23 Sceptre off for Bobby to look at. My name is Robert-I'm a freind of Anthony's (your neighbor)I work with HMY Yacht Sales-the Viking-Cabo dealers. I met you at Anthony's with Rick B. of FF of Chas. a few months back.
In any case, I found the boat on Johns Island - paid 2K for it. I'm completely stripping it, new tank, hardtop, canvas, single 250, Awlgrip - the works. They had just finished taping yours up this morning when I was there. I wish I could have seen inside. I am seriously condiering cutting out splashwell altogether to make room like you did. I'm going to chat with Bobby about it tomorrow. I just went through this whole business with an 18' Shipoke flats boat that I own - stripped it, new tank, platform, rub rail, awlgrip, ect. I swore I would never do this again but I couldn't resist this red 74' Tsunami my friend me about. |
Re: Finally in the booth....
Boat looks like a steal for 2 grand.Seems real solid, look foreward to having another in town.
If I can help in any way let me know. Donnie |

Now were Talking!
Got to finish the stripe around the transom though. Going with the same white on the cap and inside with Matterhorn floors. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...r/IMG_0166.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...r/IMG_0168.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...r/IMG_0170.jpg |
Re: Finally in the booth....
Nice to see some guys from CHS....it that boat at the shop off hwy 17 up towards or maybe just pass hwy 41 (only went there once). Is that Awlgrip??? I have a '74 Tsunami in the middle of being stripped in my yard in MP.

Re: Finally in the booth....
Look's good SCSeacraft.
Now if you will get rid of that Rinky Dinky foward mount on that trailer and install a set of Foward Keel Bunk's like this, your life will be MUCH easier loading and unloading the boat and you will not be skinning the Stem/keel area of the boat too. Just drive it right on. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...5/P1010030.jpg |
Re: Finally in the booth....
SCSeacraft, what color of Awlgrip is that on the hull? Flatscat and I went by Bobby's yesterday, must have just missed you, your boat looks great
|
Re: Finally in the booth....
Warthog you are right, the trailer looks pretty shabby now so some changes will have to be made.
I will get the colors together for you from Bobby. |
Re: Finally in the booth....
I was wondering who's bracket that is on the back of your boat? I am undecided on weather or not to go with and all aluminun bracket or a hermco version???
Thank, Lou |
Re: Finally in the booth....
My $5 bets it's an Armstrong....
|
Re: Finally in the booth....
Yes it is an Armstrong.
I really like the Hermco though, hope I dont live to regret it. Mike at Wildfire picked up this bracket for me. Great Guy. Donnie |
Re: Finally in the booth....
Mine has the same trailer bracket and yes the other guy had it tilted forwatd and no gel coat on that section of the keel, I have some gel coat just need hardner.
