Any shots of the interior including inside the cabin?

Re: RARE 23' straight inboard -center console SAVA

I think it should mirror that of a Sceptre / Tsunami?

Re: RARE 23' straight inboard -center console SAVA

Yes it's a Tsunami with no windshield. This is definatley a rare boat, however there is another one for sale that some of us know of, and it's an inboard also. So you are looking for $12,500 for the hull only, Engine is shot and the trailer can be bought extra?

Re: RARE 23' straight inboard -center console SAVA

Thanks guys. As you know Trayder I'm always looking for the perfect boat for my needs. Do you think you could sleep two adults and two small children in there?
Probably not.

I am sure you could sleep all 4 of ya, just not all at the same time.

You'll need a Seavette for that. ;) Nah it's hard to get fishibility and accommodations out of a 23' boat. It all goes back to my "4 boat theory", and wives love that theory....NOT! :D

There's an IB Savage here by me. It's in great shape too. The guy wouldn't sell it for the world.

Re: RARE 23' straight inboard -center console SAVA

I love the Seavette. I'm waiting for you and Lost2a6 to finish yours so I can get ideas. My Whitewater is very close to the seavette design. this pic is only about half of the cabin. The seavette is fancier though. :D

That's funny! I told Steve (Lost2a6) the same thing.

Not a day goes by that I don't wish it was done. My problem is, this is the only time of year when I have time to work on it, and I'm SOL for a place to work on it inside....

My brother's building a bigazz garage in the spring, and he's already well aware of his first occupant. :D

Re: RARE 23' straight inboard -center console SAVA

Hi,
It does resemble a Tsunami but the motor is in the center under a center console . It has a Bimini top and some canvas covers.., would look better with a T-top. Not an I/O with the motor in the rear. I am in Florida for the winter but the boat is in Virginia with a friend and it could be seen at any time. I will try and get some more pictures... Thank you , As for the price I guess the market will tell me how low I will have to go , I will consider all offers but it will be hard to compare as there are so few like this one.

As far as the trailer goes I had it built by Loadmaster , I paid $3,250. plus tax glad to show you the original invoice ) Bought it , had the storage place put the boat on it with a fork lift then drove it from Florida to Virgina to work on it in the summer. So the trailer has 900 miles on it. Bought an older house and my wife thinks I need to be working on it , not the boat. Go figure ??? Any other questions I will be happy to answer.
Ken

What shape are the transom and deck in?

Re: RARE 23' straight inboard -center console SAVA

HI,
It does look somewhat like a Sceptre / Tsunami but the big difference is the center console and where the motor is mounted. It's truly a neat set up. The cabin is like a Tsunami but most of the weight is low in the center where the motor and captain are. No outboard motor well and no outboard bracket...... Easy to fish out of boat
Check out the " Specification " page .
Thanks ,

1. What kind of shape are the deck and transom in?

2. How old is the wiring?

3. Is it the original gas tank?

4. Any electronics & bolster cushions?

5. Are there trim tabs?

6. What kind of steering system does it have?

Re: RARE 23' straight inboard -center console SAVA

Hi Peter B,
I'll answer your questions in order....
1 - The deck is in pretty good shape. No soft spots. The transom is in super condition. It had a swim platform and outboard ( trolling kicker ) bracket that I removed and plugged the holes with wood dowels and epoxy . Not very pretty but I was planning to have the transom painted and have a name put on..... The rest of the hull blue paint is in pretty fair condition. I believe with some effort and knowledge it could be brought back to great.
2.- I have owned the boat for 5 + years but only got to fish it for one year... No problems with wiring but I'm sure it's original...
3.- I think it has original welded marine aluminum tank.
4.- The only electronics when I bought it was a 1977 flasher fish finder, marine radio and AM FM radio. ( Radio is built in and has a tape player , works fine > I did not put anything new on as I planned to do so upon completion. Anything over a year or two old would be outdated ... As for cushions it has the coming cushions on are nice. The cushions up forward in the cabin are OK if you like fabric. It has a super leaning post with great cushion and removable back rest... It fits in the built in rod holders. NICE. Also nice storage cabinet under the cushion that is on a hinge, very convenient to have. Also a removable cooler that fits perfect under the leaning post. Great rod holders.... Canvas center console cover, Bimini top aft top and forward canvas that the previous owner would use when he spent the night on the boat...All in pretty good condition.
5.- Trim tabs. Nope. Thought I would go with electric "Lencos". Hear they work quicker in cold weather than hydraulic.
6.- Steering is original ( I think ) mechanical... It only has to move the rudder so steering is very easy.
I will be putting some more pictures on tomorrow ( I hope )
Thanks for your interest,
Ken

Re: RARE 23' straight inboard -center console SAVA

OK Guys.... It's been a month now, a cold month since I put this boat up for sale. I have a few more pictures of it without the bow rail ( Pulpit ) . Looks pretty good either way. Note the full high, strong factory transom...... It will be be spring before we know it and I feel there must be someone out there that would enjoy fishing from a quality boat like this. I have had several calls , you know who you are.... And I must admit I am getting a lite soft on the price. The house where it is being stored at ( not mine ) will be going up for sale in April so I will have to move it one way or the other. Kindly take another look at this gem. I really don't think you can find a better boat in this size and price range to invest in or fish from..... Thank you.

Great looking boat I have a 77 red savage that I restored and love it . It isn't a speed demon but you can't beat a seacraft ride . You really don't know how well that boat is until you own one .Totally different boat compared to an open bow inboard . Good luck with the sale and I would be willing to answer any questions anyone would have.

THANK YOU MIKE !!!!!
I was out of town for a few days and this is the first chance I have had to catch up on my phone calls and email. I really appreciate your help. I know when I was running this boat I was always amazed at the smooth ride almost regardless of the seas... What kind of power do you have in it ??? Thank you again.

How far south is SOuth Florida?? I am in Key West. But i think that the 3000 for that trailer is a little much.

Re: 77\" STRAIGHT INBOARD 23' PRICE REDUCTION !!!!!!!!

Hi,
The boat is in Virginia... not South Florida... Sorry. As far as the price on the trailer it's $3,000 because it's as close to new as could be. ( about 900 miles on it - total ) Never been in the water ( boat was put on trailer with a fork lift ) It has every Stainless Steel extra, Tandem axel, turbo lube oil hubs, Torsion bars ( not springs ) with quick change spindle, Goodyear radial tires , etc ,,,,, to replace this trailer today direct from Loadmaster it will cost $4,000. ...... And last I have two people lined up ready to pay $ 3,000 just for the trailer... I paid more than that ( Happy to show you original invoice ) .... It's really a deal.... Once again, boat is in Virginia, my guess is it's about 1,150 to 1,200 miles from Key West.?? You will have to drive a lot more than that to find a better sea worthy, smooth ride boat for $8,500. Thanks,
Ken K
