That Seacraft Ride.
I have a 20'(still waiting for)and I was wondering how nice the ride really is. Dryness, Stability, Vibration, SPEED, etc.
I hear alot about the VDH, Variable Deadrise Hull, and I want to know what it's REALLY like. Mine is a 1984 20' CenterConsole, with 2003 150 merc. How fast you thinking? :D |
Re: That Seacraft Ride.
I have a 20SF and my father says the ride is very similiar to his freinds Bertram 20 from the 70's. Hope that helps.

Re: That Seacraft Ride.

Awsome i Cant wait!

Re: That Seacraft Ride.
Read the manual in the archives. It talks about quartering head seas . . . it's the only condition where you might feel a little jolt. Just like the manual says roll the boat downwind using trim tabs, so the V is into the waves. Just like butta' the hull is SO nice!!!

Re: That Seacraft Ride.
Careful, Finster may need a cold shower after all that sweet talk about our boats.......... :D
|
Re: That Seacraft Ride.
I have that manual too. And yes the pages are stuck together.... :D
Though, if you guy's think the CC's ride nice (which they do) wait til you ride in a Seavette. Mr.P told me, "for some reason that boat rides like a 35 footer", and darn if it doesn't. BTW, I don't want to hear any crap for not having it done. Note in this post where it says "wait". |

Re: That Seacraft Ride.
Just as a general comment, when I first got here Finster was much more active than of late, not that's such a bad thing :D Finster since your in the marine biz and NJ do you know an artist known as Dunk ???
|
Re: That Seacraft Ride.
ESD,
Don't get Finster going. It's been nice and peaceful around here while he was out of town. :D Dunk used to be on this site a couple years ago but I don't think he took to us very well. ;) |
Re: That Seacraft Ride.
I know Dunk very well via the net and email, no he's not an SC fan and I take every opportunity to that end. Just wanted to know if Finster actually knew him, I even remember when the Seavette came home, good thread.
