Bennett Raffle!!!!
 

I made this same post on CSC gathering, but want everyone to
see it!!!!!

Now for the good news Tabman (Tom) from Bennett Trim Tabs
has agreed to donate a couple sets of tabs for the event.
I would like some input on a raffle so that 100% of the proceeds would go to the CSC site. This raffle will be open to everyone even if you are not coming to the Anclote gathering. He asked how many would be in attendance and that
who ever the winners were would be able to get the proper size set for there boat direct from Bennett.
At this point we have 53 confirmed for Anclote.
If all 1818 CSC members bought just one chance at say $5.00
That would be $9090.00. Now we all know that wouldn't happen. So here lies the dilemma. Limit it too the first
100=$500. The first 200=$1000. You should be able to buy as many chances as you like. You get the idea. I would be willing to handle having the tickets printed and handling the payment.
This is a great offer from Bennett, they have always been very supportive of CSC. What we could do is have the drawing on Saturday April 28th. We could also use part of the proceeds to buy some additional SeaCraft emblems that
65Bowrider is having made just to have on hand for some of the members that have missed there chance. Like I said HELP!

The only problem I see about this is my BENNETT TRIM TABS HAVE NOW LASTED 31 YEARS AND STILL WORK JUST FINE. The way it looks I would be approx 100 years old before I would need to replace the ones I have.

Maybe it should be only 100 tickets at $10.00 each.
Don't forget there will be two sets at the drawing!!!!

Raffle update:

Anclote Key
61 confirmed attendee's, This does not include kids.
6 undecided.

I have decided to buy a roll of double raffle tickets on a roll. They have them at the office supplies for under $10.
To have custom printed, perforated tickets would be around $50. for 100.
Where as that most that will want tickets will be from all over the country. When you agree to buy how ever many you want, I will email you the number/numbers on the ticket.
I will also post in a word document all of the entrants as they are paid for with the corresponding numbers.
Then I will email the list to all that have paid. On Saturday the day of our gathering all of the
numbered paid stubs will go into a hat so to speak, and graciously Mr. Moesley will do the honor and pull 2 tickets out of the hat.
Now to keep the odds good it looks like only 100 tickets
at $10 each. This will be on a first come first served basis. I plan to buy 5 myself.

Trayder although not ungrateful does not want the proceeds
from the raffle. He said the For Sale section does a good job at supporting the site. OK, so this means that we will have money to buy shrimp, steaks, paper plates, whatever for the gathering. I also suggested that we have a couple extra sets of the SS emblems Carla is having made on hand.
You guys decide. We could pull a third ticket for emblem set.
I plan to buy the roll of tickets tomorrow, and get this raffle going.

As Ken mentioned Traydor doesn't need the money for the site, so we will try and provide the main course down here and some other goodies, then send the rest up north for your gathering. So you get a chance for a set of tabs and get free food for $10, even if you don't win you'll get $10 worth of food kinda of a win win. The tabs will be done so if a 100 tickets aren't sold better odds, I don't think there is any reserve on how many tickets are sold so if you buy 5 it might be 5 out of 50 or 60, pretty decent odds on 2 sets.

I just counted, 34 + Kens 5 so thats 39 tickets so far, thats pretty good odds 2 sets out of 39 tickets.

I just did a bulk email to all that have paid.
I sent it in excel format with numbers attached. If you can not open it let me know, I will recompose in word or do a PM. So far we have 40 paid for with another 12 on there way
via paypal or check. The chances are real good this will sell out. Even if you have a non seacraft buddy that want some we will wait to the end is near if the CSC members do not make us have a sell out. There is still over a month to go. I bought two part stub tickets, if you would feel more comfortable, I will be happy to mail you the stub. My feeling is all that are in the drawing will know who has what numbers. Keep em comin' I would really like Tabman's
work for us pay off.

Hey Ken, you can add one of my 12o9 high speed trollers to the prize list in winner’s choice of colors.
They come riged at about 2 pounds. It has my new pat. Pend. Q/C skirt system that changes skirts over the rig so you won’t have to cut the rig.
