JUST SO EVERYONE IS AWARE.....THE SPONSOR DECALS WILL BE REMOVED UPON THE SALE OF THIS BOAT. I have had several people call about the boat that were concerned about the decals. They are only stickers!!! Some thought that is was paint. Once removed, you will be able to enjoy this BEAUTY the way she was meant to be!!

Very clean looking. If that boat dosen't move soon, something is wrong.

Re: 1985 23' SeaCraft 300hp Yamaha

Thanks Peter! I really appreciate it. I hate that Im selling this boat. I just need a few more feet and twin motors. My Dad raised me on a Potter hull and is sick to his stomach that Im selling her If he didnt have the most beautiful 20 ever built, it would be his.

brybax2003 05-04-2007 09:33 PM

Re: 1985 23' SeaCraft 300hp Yamaha

Had plenty of emails and calls about the boat. Most all were interested in the work done and not an actual buyer calling. Im open to offers.....come on, whatcha think??? Just please dont insult her :o

Baxter,
That is one sweet boat! I can't afford to buy another boat but I can't keep myself from going to this thread and staring.

Very nice looking boat.....how many hours on that 300HPDI??
And what's the maintenance record on it.....they don't have good reviews on THT.... :D But that's a good looking boat and should sell......where in CHS do you keep it??

Re: 1985 23' SeaCraft 300hp Yamaha

Hey thanks for the compliments guys. The Yamaha has just under 300 trouble free hours on it and has about 1.5 years left on warranty with an extendable warranty available to purchase. I purchased this motor after Yamaha made all their adjustments to the 300 HPDI to make them right. This has been an awesome motor for me and will make someone very happy. The boat stays on a trailer at my house on Sullivans Island.

Must Sell!!! New boat will be here soon!! Only room for one. Any reasonable offer will be accepted!!!

Re: 1985 23' SeaCraft 300hp Yamaha

I love the boat. If I had not bought a 23 sea craft cc 1.5 years ago, I would be beating down your door. Your engine is a huge selling feature.
I have a cousin who is presently looking for 23 - 27 ft open fisherman and has been looking at Contenders, among others. I emailed him a few pics of your boat. He is an older fisherman and has fished on many sea crafts over the years (including both of mine) and may be interested. I will let u know.

brybax2003 05-10-2007 02:13 PM

Re: 1985 23' SeaCraft 300hp Yamaha

Thanks SteveH. Let your friend know that shes still available and read to go. If hes fished yours then he knows what to expect out of the ride. Contenders wont even compare!!

Boat has 14 days remaining on the market before she is removed. Bring me an offer soon or she wont be available.

Re: 1985 23' SeaCraft 300hp Yamaha

If this boat does not sell soon, then I never ever want to hear anyone complain that there aren't old SeaCraft's available at decent prices.

If someone thinks that this price is too high, why don't you buy an old Seacraft for a couple of thousand and then do the following:
- Buy a new engine (that 300 HP still has to be worth over $10k)
- Redo the deck and close the transom. Install a full bracket (this is another $10k to $15k, easy)
- Paint the boat ($2k to $4k at least)
- Buy some new electronics like Baxters (another couple of thosand)
- Get a new trailer ($3k to $5k)

Once you do this your initial couple k investment has all of a sudden turn into $35k to $40k, and it has taken you a year or so to do.

Here is a boat already done at $30k.

Enough said.

Re: 1985 23' SeaCraft 300hp Yamaha

Peter, thanks for the post. Guys he is exactly right!! I have a little over 49K in this boat. I really want to sell her to step up to a bigger boat with twins. $30k WAS A STEAL for what she has!! Now its $27,500.00 for ClassicSeaCraft members. I have it listed elsewhere for $30K!!(Peter can vouch for that) Someone that sees it here deserves her more than anyone else. This way she stays in the family!!

Ok gang, here we go again. Boat is back on the market and is listed for $24,000.00. She now has 421 flawless hours on her. It was a great season and now its time to pass this gem on to someone else.
