Looking for anodized aluminum pipe

I just bought a hacked up t top for a 23 seacraft and need to find a source for anodized aluminum pipe with a 1.5 inch inside diameter. This has been a difficult material to track down. Do you guys know anyone.

Fishiingjoey, Where do you live? I work with anodized aluminum every day. I'm sure I can get you material even if I ship it to you.

isn't anodized pipe very difficult to weld? just a thought if your thinking about doing the work yourself.

Re: Looking for anodized aluminum pipe

The anodization needs to be ground away in the vicinity of the weld.

I agree with pipedreams. As as fabricator, we build many aluminum objects from polished and unpolished material, weld it, and then have it anodized after fabrication. But if you are not worried about the material corroding in the heat affected zone (where you weld), you can weld over the anodic coating on preanodized material. The high frequency will clean the puddle while you weld.
