Moesly SeaCraft website
Good Morning,
With Jason’s knowledge, I have started a new website, www.MoeslySeaCraft.com focusing more on the 1960’s SeaCraft boats, designs and stories. There are boxes of brochures, photos, magazine articles, newspaper clippings, racing results…, all of which should be shared rather than just packed away. I hope you will have an opportunity to visit and let me know your comments or suggestions for the site as I still have so much more to add. Creating it has been a tremendous learning curve, which gives me greater appreciation for what Jason has accomplished here… besides bringing us all together as ClassicSeaCraft members. Sincerely, Carla |

Re: Moesly SeaCraft website
Link does not work
But very cool! |
Re: Moesly SeaCraft website
Link works for me. Thanks Carla for doing this. It is an important part of the history of these great boats. Telling the story how Mosely created SeaCraft brings everything into full circle.

Re: Moesly SeaCraft website
Absolutely incredible. I love the website. I think you did a great job putting it together...as a matter of fact I think your ready for a second career as a web developer.
I'm a history buff, and I love old boats, particularly Sea Craft's so your site is incredible, especially since it has old magazines, photos etc scanned into it. My next project I hope will be a Sea Craft from the 60's. |
Re: Moesly SeaCraft website
Excellent!!
Q; Will all the Brochures be able to read into .pdf files? Not sure what is involved if they can be readable. Great start!! :) - Nick |
Re: Moesly SeaCraft website
Great!!!!!!!!! Thanks for setting it up.
|
Re: Moesly SeaCraft website
Thank you for the words of encouragement.
The material I have is over 40 years old, some in better condition than others. Disadvantage of PDF files, I cannot edit & clean them up. So I'm trying to scan to an image file, clean up, then post on the web. You can adjust the 'zoom' on bottom right corner of brower to get a closer view. Again, thanks for being so supportive. |
Re: Moesly SeaCraft website
NICE!
I own a 1970 and it only differs slightly from the 20SF pictures you posted. It seems in the early 70's the 20SF or should I say OF (open fisherman) underwent subtle changes in scuppers/rod holder storage location/and later stringers. Great site...great resource...thank you! |
Re: Moesly SeaCraft website
Looks great!!!
One of the best man and boat stories out there, Moesly and the development of the SeaCraft boat. |
Re: Moesly SeaCraft website
Carla and Skip,
What a fantastic effort and such great results. It is quite a valuable thing you both have accomplished. Now, between the two websites we have that past, present and (thanks to Skip's inspiration) future of one of the best and intriguing stories in the history of pleasure boating. Kudo's to you both and THANK YOU!!!!!!! |
Re: Moesly SeaCraft website
PS-
Carla and Skip, I was very happy to hear the hub worked out. It proved a lot easier than I imagined. Maybe you or someone with more skills than me could carve "CJ" on the face of the hub and paint it or gold leaf for that matter. |
Re: Moesly SeaCraft website
Neat website, great to learn about the history of Seacrafts.
|
Re: Moesly SeaCraft website
Your new website is coming along great Carla! The stuff you added today looks really good. Somehow, I have the feeling that the best is yet to come! Looking forward to more of those racing stories! Denny

Re: Moesly SeaCraft website
Did everyone have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day? I had a delightful one...great to be with family.
Hermit...Like cars, body styles stay the same, but the interior is tweeked for better comfort. BigLew...Yes, the hub for Strick's old steering wheel turned out great, better than CJ, would be carving the bottom design! I'll have to check into that. Good Idea your started. Doug...I'm really surprised no one has jumped on your bowrider! If we can get it to So. Fla, I'll store it for you...someday, someone will want it as they are a rarity. Wishing everyone a nice weekend. |
Re: Moesly SeaCraft website
Thanks for the site Carla. Yes , we had a yummy Thanksgiving with too much wine, too much food and many laughs with good friends.
I love how you managed to give the site an old timey look. Makes me wanna dance to the Soggy Bottom Boys. I` don`t know much about the early history and am really looking forward to learning more , especially the racing  GFS |
Re: Moesly SeaCraft website
Happy Thanksgiving, Carla !
That comment about the Bowrider was just a good hearted jab to Grady Sailfish - I know he is local to me. The Moesly website is very cool. Thanks for everything! -Doug |
Re: Moesly SeaCraft website
Doug...I didn't realize where your from. Damn, now you have me thinking !
I haven't even finished my MA yet though and my yard is getting clogged. I've come to realize I need a bigger piece of property and a bigger garage ! |
Re: Moesly SeaCraft website

Re: Moesly SeaCraft website
Carla,
Great web site, can't wait until more info is available . The Scampi is a cool little boat. Kinda reminds me of the Donzi Sweet 16. How many were made? |
Re: Moesly SeaCraft website
Scott,
How many 15 footers? Only a few is the answer. I read on another site's forum, someone posted 10-12 or 12-15 were made. That's all. I've been really looking hard for one... so if someone stumbles across one sitting in someone's back yard, forgotten ... Please let me know! Quality Control on SeaCrafts? (mentioned in another CSC post) ... Check out the MoeslySeaCraft web site ... 2nd page added to The Beginning ... summary. It gives a little blurp how Moesly checked his quality control. Thanks for all the positives thru PMs, Emails and this post. |

Thanks for all the positives thru PMs, Emails and this post. [/QUOTE] Probably very few boat building company CEO's that even know how to use a drill nowdays, muchless ones that would want to get fiberglass dust on themselves! Thanks again for the site and your time invested. |
