Are those 150 yammie four strokes??
Did you raise the floor any...I'd like to know how she sits with that weight on the back. It's is beautiful boat!!! |
Re: Savage Project
All it takes is $$$$$$- What a beauty!!! Awesome job!!!
|
Re: Savage Project
This is the boat that Bobby at G-Craft worked on last year. It started life as a Sceptre. Deuce is my son-in-law's SeaCraft. My SeaCraft is ENDURED.
Have not had it in the water yet. Yes, Yamaha 4 stroke 150's on an Armstrong bracket. Did not raise the floor, hope the flotation bracket does the job. Maybe we can "get it wet" in the two weeks. I will post some pics of how it "sits". |
Re: Savage Project
Very Pretty, nice combo. on the paint and boot stripe.
|
Re: Savage Project
Great looking boat Deuce.....I hope I can check it out in the harbor or maybe up at capers one day...
|
Re: Savage Project
Bobby G. does some fine work!
|
Re: Savage Project
yes he does....is that Vivid Red Awlgrip??
|
Re: Savage Project
Correct!!! Vivid red.
Bobby G said that was the color for a RED boat. He was right. I have been very happy with his work and his prices are resonable. Once we see how we like the twin 150's, I am going to let him replace the transom and put a bracket on ENDURED. That is next winters project. |
Re: Savage Project
Sweeeeet! The savage has to be my favorite Sea Craft model !!

Decided to remove the "glove boxes" and fill in the windshield "grove". This will become additional seating with the addition of cushions and handrails. |
Re: Savage Project
Good looking boat!!
I love the cooler set up for the transom!! Lloyd |
Re: Savage Project
that console is really nice! i like it
|
Re: Savage Project
That rig should run in the low 50's for sure. Looks awesome, like no bones said, bring it to long point!!!!!
|
Re: Savage Project
Thanks guys we cant wait to get it in the water. What is the deal with Long Point?
|
Re: Savage Project
Deuce-
Go to the Gatherings section for the details. We are orchestrating the Mother of all gatherings. We are approaching 100 people being apart of the event. It is a great time to see the most vintage SC's in one place. The original Founding Family in attendance. Boatpix.com will be doing pictures. Raffle with big giveaways. Long Point is a camping area next to Sebastian Inlet. |
Re: Savage Project
It does not get any better than that...
|
Re: Savage Project (update)
GOT IT WET!!!!
http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s...euceLake14.jpg 49 mph top end- 28 mph at 2.7 gph crusing http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s...DeuceLake7.jpg |
Re: Savage Project (update)
That boat is beautiful!!!!!!! How does she sit with the stock floor and the pair of yammie F150s???
|
Re: Savage Project (update)
The floor drains were pluged and rerouted back through the transom. With four people in the back, got a little water through the scupper flap. Had a piece of trash holding the flap open.
Most impressive was the "power turns" At 30 mph, could not make it "bogg down". It slowed to 23 mph in the turn, then back to speed as soon as it straighten up. Also, my 320 pound self could stand on the corner of the bracket and not get my feet wet. |
Re: Savage Project (update)
Wow...she looks great! Nice job.
|
Re: Savage Project (update)
Nice looking rig Deuce! I have always liked the Savage layout. You'll get many years of enjoyment for sure.

Re: Savage Project (update)
Capt. Chuck,
You are correct. it is 2.7 mpg (fat fingers and little keys) Also, I don't know about this deal of 4 strokes not having a "hole shot". You better be holding on when you turn those 150's lose. She jumps out of the water. |
