November Gathering Poll
Well, fellow SeaCraft nuts, the 6 month window is coming for our next gathering..........Based on Wavelength's I-4 Corridor advice to keep our 50+ group coming.........our next event should be back on the West Coast. Ft. Desoto, with seawall boat mooring was mentioned again.........
Question #1 Are you in?? Question#2 Would you stay longer than Fri-Sun? Question#3 Better location that will get a good turn-out? |
Re: November Gathering Poll
Please post a new comment if Ft. Desoto gets your vote ;)
|
Re: November Gathering Poll
I doubt if my boat will be ready, but the campground at Ft. De soto, is really nice and a lot of nice boating around there.

Re: November Gathering Poll
Just like eatin' a Lays Potato Chip, ya just can't
have one..... :D :D  There are also someplaces up by Crystal River that I hear are real NICE !!! Yo Matt, check-em out will ya! Let's Do-it AGAIN !!! See ya, Ken |
Re: November Gathering Poll
Ft DEsoto makes it easier for travelers bringing stuff, for such a short stay. I will be reviewing spots near Anclote soon, the northend eroded some and doesn't have as much room
|
Re: November Gathering Poll
Terry-As you have experienced, not having the vintage 21 done and being at the gathering just makes "The Fire" burn to finish your project. Shoot, if Finster had even once been to one of our events, I bet that Seavette would have been running a long time ago. I am splashing my 23 today after a long drought.............

Thanks ESD for your genuine concern I do have the $800,000 enviro pollution coverage :D The Coasties may want a look at me for smuggling drugs or people with 450HP hanging off the bracket

Re: November Gathering Poll
They'll never catch you my friend, good luck by the way
I will be checking a new island a little south of Anclote - 3 Rooker it has been getting bigger rather than smaller |
Re: November Gathering Poll
only if you have a tanker in tow they know we can't
carry enough fuel to be a sucessful smuggler with these horses :D http://teamsouthbound.com/picturepro...afts%20028.jpg |
Re: November Gathering Poll
Snookred, I need to ask one thing. Is it normal to be able to choose two answers for a yes/no question down south? :D

after the 2000 Presidential elections..... Yes, it is appropriate here in the south.  :D  See ya, Ken |
Re: November Gathering Poll
Finster-The "polling feature" has the 2 answer/multiple answer language. Sorry,us Southern boys have been too busy using our SC's in the clear blue 85 degree weather to screw up a yes/no question.

Re: November Gathering Poll
Hello All, as ordered I went to the Encore campground in Crystal River to inquire about sites. I did not feel the love...
Tent camping is not on the water, however if we had a large group they MAY be able to work something out for $62.00 per night. I used the weekend before thanksgiving as a date and they have 11 sites open but felt she would fill them by the weekend, if you get my drift. Boats and waterfront camping, I'll keep looking but... |
Re: November Gathering Poll
Horn Island is free but you can't get there by car. :D :D

Re: November Gathering Poll
In `00 Cemetery Village had 3,000 red votes. `04 only 300. Shades of Joe Kennedy?

Re: November Gathering Poll
Have not yet been to a "gathering", however Ft. Desoto is just across the bay and I would come by boat from my house in Apollo Beach. The hell with $4 gas.

Re: November Gathering Poll
Don-
You will not regret it............This is a mellow group that has a SC addiction and looks for an excuse to do what we enjoy...relaxing and being around the water on our boats. Besides, Briguy and I need an additional Potter 23SF to be present from Tampa Bay. ;) |
Re: November Gathering Poll
I really do think the Fort is a good option, good roads all the way - showers, bathrooms and electric. It also allows the guys south of tampa bay easier access. This time maybe set up an outpost on the beach at the mouth of Bounces Pass. Camping on an island is alot of work for a couple days but an outpost would work.

Re: November Gathering Poll
Looking forward to it!! I'm assuming the dates are pretty much firm? I've got to be sure I get the boat back up here in time to at least give her a bath!!!

Re: November Gathering Poll
What I meant by an outpost - I have a large screened enclosure that could be left out there along with coolers and stuff - nobody would mess with it. That way we all sit at the beach most of the day rather than the campground. We just did 3 days and its nice being able to go take a dip or a walk on the beach - 10 minutes from the campground. We even drive back in for a shower and ice so its close.
