1973 Seacraft Seafari 20 with Volvo AQ130C / 270
1973 Seacraft Seafari with volvo aq130C motor and 270 outdrive.
5mpg cruise. 32/33 mph top speed. Carbs just rebuilt, new water pump, new fuel pump and prop. Compression is an even 145 - 150 on all 4 cylinders Never had bottom paint or seen saltwater (lived at lake shasta and folsom lake). Nice stainless steel stern grabs rails (perfect height for fishing). Recessed pedestal seat bases for additional guest seating. Foldout table/sink and porta potty. Matching blue bimini and outriggers. The bad . . . cushions need to be redone and there are a small number of gelcoat blisters below the waterline. Otherwise this boat looks puff. $6500/best offer http://www.wellcraftv20.com/gallery/...866_Medium.jpg http://www.wellcraftv20.com/gallery/...845_Medium.jpg http://www.wellcraftv20.com/gallery/...852_Medium.jpg http://www.wellcraftv20.com/gallery/...843_Medium.jpg |

Why the hay did you cross the country with it? Bring it back. 5 mpg beats the heck out of this 115 t'o'power. Dang, dude! Is that the one you picked up for your brother? Send me a link if you have pics on photobucket or elsewhere. -- Gillie

This is the one. . . My brother wanted the Roadmaster instead :) imagine that!! so my uhaul trailer substitute is now up for sale. It's much much cleaner than my bracketed seafari.

Wow, that boat is clean and original for it's age! Well worth the $$ for it's vintage!

Re: 1973 Seacraft Seafari 20 with Volvo AQ130C / 2
well . . . I damaged the prop on the trailer ram this weekend. The Trim and tilt broke a few weeks ago (but still works manually) and the engine is idling rough now. So I'm dropping the price before I break anything else.
$3750 or Best Offer. The Ghetto rope is holding up the ladder and I was running the motor off the 3gallon tank b/c I thought the main tank might of had some bad fuel (b/c the motor wasn't idleing well) . . . ran great at high speeds (until I wacked the prop backing off the trailer). Top speed now is 26mph with a busted up prop. http://www.wellcraftv20.com/gallery/...602_Medium.jpg http://www.wellcraftv20.com/gallery/...604_Medium.jpg http://www.wellcraftv20.com/gallery/...609_Medium.jpg |
Re: 1973 Seacraft Seafari 20 with Volvo AQ130C / 2
Big, great price - hull looks in great shape.
Sorry to stray off topic but curiosity is killing me - does that jeep have the 4.0 liter inline 6 cyl and did you pull the seafari up and over the Rockies w/ it? My cherokee has the inline 6 and labors pulling my seafari up the hill to the driveway. Of course RI is well known as a mountainous state :D but does not really compare to the Rockies. |
Re: 1973 Seacraft Seafari 20 with Volvo AQ130C / 2
The comanche has the inline 6 4.0L motor. It's a 1992 with 223,000 miles. I have no problems at all climbing any hill/mountains (just kept it in 3rd the entire 3300 miles . . . not in overdrive). Stopping is another story, but this trailer has working brakes, so it's much better than the red seafari's dually trailer that the truck came cross country with . . .
