1974 SF Project + Materials
Hello everyone, I hate to do it, but I must sell my boat. I bought it about 2 years ago drove it once and started ripping it apart. I have yet to put it back together and with starting a new business I don't have the time. I will give you a quick run down of everything. The boat had a brand new transom installed in December of 2002 with extra internal knee braces. It also has a 18" stainless marine bracket on the back. It came with a 2001 225 Optimax, which seems a little big for the boat, but the weight on that engine is comparable to a much smaller 4 stroke. It has a newer 45 gallon tank. When I ripped it apart I rebuilt the stringers, and shot epoxy primer on the liner up front with the anchor locker and fish box. I pulled the core out of all the hatches and deck cap. Unfortunately I cut off the deck cap a few feet behind where the front deck stops. Reason being I was going to rebuild a widen the gunnels adding in braces making it more like a 3 piece boat. So basically what I have now is the liner out of the boat; the cap off of the boat with a nice bow rail; and the bare hull. It needs some work, but with a new transom and stringers someone just needs to put all the pieces together. Here is a quick run down of whats included.
-1974 Hull, liner, cap with bowrail -2005 dual axle aluminum Magic Tilt with brakes -45 gallon aluminum tank -2001 225 hp Mercury Optimax w/ wiring, hydraulic steering, smart craft gauge engine has just over 100 hrs. it was installed new in 2003, but hasn't been ran in over a year. -5 gallon of good fairing compound -1 gallon 2 part foam -Around 125 lbs roll of 50" 1708 fiberglass -11 (35" x 76") sheets of divinycell H100 1" thick, 2 sheets are laminated with 2 layers of 1708 on each side. -8 (35" x 76") sheets of divinycell H100 3/8" 1 sheet laminated with 2 layers of 1708 on each side. -2 gallon kit of Dupont epoxy primer/paint (some used) -25 new Tyvek suits for grinding - Aquaplas board cut to fit on top of stringers to raise the floor about 1.5". Here is a link to the stuff http://www.piedmontplastics.com/prod...?ID=5&TYPE=417 -Life vests, safety kits, anchor rope, anchor, and more I'm sure there is more, but I can't think of it right now. Basically all you need is some resin and time and this will be a nice boat. Let me know if you guys have any questions or concerns. The boat is located in Rockledge, FL. I travel around the state quite a bit so I can possibly deliver the boat. I'm willing to break up the engine and boat if someone doesn't want to buy both. Make an offer I can't refuse. Sorry the pics are so big for some reason they wouldn't resize properly. Most of these pics are old, but you get the idea, if anyone wants any other specific pics let me know and I will email them. I will post some pics of the engine also, it is practically brand new. http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/n...Picture237.jpg http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/n...Picture240.jpg http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/n...Picture249.jpg http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/n...Picture038.jpg http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/n...cture017-1.jpg http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/n...Picture020.jpg |
Re: 1974 SF Project + Materials
Do you have an idea of what you want for it?
|
Re: 1974 SF Project + Materials
where is the boat located?
|
Re: 1974 SF Project + Materials
What would you sell the engine, gauges, and controls for?
|
Re: 1974 SF Project + Materials
The boat is located in Rockledge, FL but I can possibly deliver anywhere in the state due to my job. I haven't gave pricing a lot of thought yet, but I'm thinking about $2200 for the trailer, $6000 for the engine with smartcraft gauge, hydraulic steering, and throttle control. For the hull, materials, and rest of the stuff looking for maybe $3000. Looking to sell through so make some offers. I will sell the engine separately, but don't really want to break up the boat and trailer. If anyone wants specific pictures of anything in particular let me know and I will take some new ones.

Re: 1974 SF Project + Materials
Does the motor have a 25 inch shaft and would you be willing to box it up and ship to MA?

Re: 1974 SF Project + Materials
Hey everyone, the boat hasn't sold yet. As Spidercrab kinda sorta mentioned haha, I am located in Rockledge, FL. I travel up and down the east coast of the state doing work on boats though so I can deliver if that makes it easier. I've had a few inquires about the trailer, I will separate if necessary, but would prefer to sell both boat and trailer so I will give first picks to someone wanting to pick up both. If no one does shortly though I will separate. If anyone has any other questions, or would like more pictures, just let me know and I can take some more.

Re: 1974 SF Project + Materials
IS THE BOAT STILL AROUND
|
Re: 1974 SF Project + Materials
Yes it is. Still sitting around. I come and go in phases where I think about to start working on it again, but I just don't have the time right now.
|
Re: 1974 SF Project + Materials
A LONG SHOT.....IS THE TRAILER STILL AVAILABLE??????
-THANKS -FRED |
Re: 1974 SF Project + Materials
Trailer is still available, but not sure if I want to separate the boat and trailer anymore because I'm still considering finishing the rebuild if someone doesn't buy it. If I do that I will be kicking myself for selling the trailer.

Re: 1974 SF Project + Materials
Looking to purchase my first home soon and need to get rid of the boat. I wish I had the time to finish it, but I just don't. Most of the materials except resin come with the boat. If someone decides to purchase it I can cut the core material to size and shape on a cnc machine for them so the floor basically just drop into place. Make an offer.

Re: 1974 SF Project + Materials
I have to get this boat sold, I will sell everything listed in the beginning of this topic with the exception of the motor, it has already sold. I will sell the boat, trailer, and materials for $3,500. The trailer and swim platform on the boat alone would cost that new. Let me know if you have any questions. I can also deliver to most places in Florida.
