RI/MA

anyone interested in getting together this summer if the snow and ice ever melts?
maybe Narragansett bay or cape cod

Re: RI/MA

for sure! im definitely down for a get together, as long as im home. i wouldnt mind traveling either. we could do the vineyard or newport, or cape cod bay later in the summer.

Re: RI/MA

Yeah! Cape Cod Bay would work for me. Lots of amazing bass and tuna. Best I've ever seen..... newport would work too; maybe a run out to Block?

I'd be up for a Narragansett Bay or Cape Cod get-together. March rotator cuff surgery, so later better than Spring.

Re: RI/MA

good luck with the surgery

later would probably be better in case we have any winter bugs to work out(i probably will )

Narr Bay works for me. Plenty of ramps, parking and places to rendezvous.

Re: RI/MA

I would be down if we can do it maybe down by Quick's hole. that would be a good meeting place for people coming from RI or the cape

Re: RI/MA

easy to get to from RI launch in padanaram(sp?)(n. dartmouth) and head straight out
lets keep the ideas flowing for now and we'll meet in the middle as we get the boats running for the summer!!

I'd be down with anything in Vineyard Sound in the Spring time. Quicks Hole and 30 of my little friends in the livewell sounds good to me!

I don't think my 20cc will see the water this summer (unless I hit the lottery!) but I hope you guys get together somewhere us land-locked types can hook up with you. I think seeing what you guys are doing with your significant other, I mean boats, would provide a well-needed incentive to keep going.

Is there ever another? ;)

For those with boats in progress, I would be happy to take them out if they wanted to hang out with some other CSC owners.

Oh sure Nat, give me ANOTHER reason to procrastinate!

I should be ready late spring, but nice of you to offer.
Cheers,
Bob

Re: RI/MA

I'm flexible: with a brother still in RI, and doing a lot of fishing on the Cape. It's a long drive from VT either way. If it's later summer and the Tuna are around, I'd have a preference for the Cape. At this point about half my weekends are already spoken for...weekdays are easier.

Quicks Hole sounds good, all picnic though, no fires to cook the catch. It'll have to be a NE sushi-fest.

HatTrick 04-30-2009 02:55 PM

Re: RI/MA

A "rough seas" alternative to QH would be the ""boat beach" in Westport Harbor. There's a good public ramp with the Back-Eddy restaraunt/bar very close by.

castalot 05-01-2009 06:53 PM

Re: RI/MA

both sound good it would be cool to go to a common ramp and get some pics of the boats and tow rigs lined up somewhere

Did someone say "SET IT AND FORGET IT" (TM) Just kidding.

Re: RI/MA

Am on Cape Cod, so of course I vote for the Cape :). Now down in Chatham for the summer season from Wellfleet and boat on trailer at in-laws in South Harwich. I see the kernel's 27 almost every day as I drive by. In fact there is a 23 across from my basement pad in here in Chathy. Lots of CSC on the Lower Cape.

My 02 Tundra strains a bit pulling my rig though...but up for it...

Will be on the Bay and race Point this weekend, and the boat beach off Wellfleet.
