Re: new dash
Pretty work!! I like the look. I swore not to have any brightwork on my boat but I may have to rethink that.

Re: new dash
Nice Work! How did you fasten it to the dash/instrument panel. What type wood and clear coat did you use?

You know what the Florida sun will do. PS. I love bright work...as long as I don't have to maintain it  |
Re: new dash

No matter what you do...on a boat it is a labor of love. That being said, I might put 2 little teak accent pieces on the 21 :D PS upgrade your bio, then Tampa will show up on every post. |
Re: new dash
YA what he said - I love the look of wood - where in Tampa and where do you usually put in ???
or I guess where will you when you get a steering wheel |
Re: new dash
Bristol Finish is nice stuff, yet I find that AwlBright is easier to work with and doesn't have the tints Bristol has, but they both will last 16 mtns or more in the Fla sun, longer if you keep it under cover some. The only thing is, and this is important, you must build up with tradtional spar varnish first, or they will peel. Dash looks great, got enough varnish on my trawler, no varinsh on the SeaCraft, just the fore and aft staffs!
