Entourage,

Looks like she just came off the line. Absolutely beautiful! Great job.

How many traps can you carry in the cockpit?

You've probably already thought of it but are you planning on protecting your starboard side aft of the hauler? Those traps like to slap against the side of the boat when pulling them in. I use a big sheet of plexi on mine, painted the same colour as the hull it blends in pretty good but in your case, I'd hate to punch a few hundred screws through that hull. My hull is wood.

Very cool pot smokin...I mean pulling rig :D

I'm not sure about how i am going to arrange pots in the boat yet, i would like to keep the starboard side open all the time as this is the way everyone else does it around here. I guess we will see how it takes the water, first i have to work some bugs out. Thanks for the positive feedback.

Yeah i know that is why i am taking all these pics now. I need memories. I am in to this boat for so much money i have no other choice than to put her to work.

I love the setup. Very functional work boat . . . I'd love to see the cockpit setup. Perfect for the calm morning Buzzards Bay crossing . . . and then the trip back in the afternoon with (long side) protection from the afternoon chop/spray.

Re: Pilothouse Sceptre pics in water (Sea trials)

Well i took it out today in Buzzard's Bay and what a difference that little bit of weight up front makes. I had a full tank of fuel 75 gallons and it was blowing northeast over here which is the worst wind for anywhere around here. The waves were about 5 ft off penekese and the boat plowed right through.

i'll second the NE winds they do suck and that's without factoring in the tides!!

Looks awesome...I love the red.

What kicker bracket is that...and what steering arm to the kicker??? Does it just tilt up with a second helm???

Great job, must turn alot of heads, you made it look factory built! I would like to do something like that to mine? Any advise? Do's and don'ts? You stated a mold in another section? Is this something I could buy from you?? Thanks, would be grateful for any advise. :D

Re: Pilothouse Sceptre pics in water (Sea trials)

well i have another one to do at the end of this year, my father's boat. The mold is not for sale, but if you would want a duplicate house made like this one that can be worked out just let me know.

ritrat 04-21-2009 05:09 PM

Re: Pilothouse Sceptre pics in water (Sea trials)

Thanks for reply, Would love the chance to duplicate that house. I also remember you writing your fathers would be full sided on both port and starboard?? Either way fine with me?? I'm 6'2" would that be a problem with head clearance??

Re: Pilothouse Sceptre pics in water (Sea trials)

You just have to let me know what height you want, and we will see if we can work something out.
